ELIGIBILITY FOR ALL DIPLOMA COURSES :
A. DIPLOMA (ENGG.)
** Eligibility :
Passed 10th Std/ SSC Examination.
Obtained at least 35% marks (33% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes category or Kashmiri Migrants Category) at the qualifying examination.
Compulsory pass in Maths and Science subjects in the qualifying examination.
** Basis of Admissions
The admission to Diploma (Engg.) courses will be on the basis of DET – 2015 ranks based on inter-se Merit of DET–2015, DET-2015 shall be conducted off-line i.e. in paper-pencil mode.
For candidates obtaining equal marks in DET – 2015 merits, the candidate with higher marks in Math in DET-2015 will be placed at higher Rank. If the candidate has same marks in Math, the candidate having higher marks in Science will be placed at higher Rank. For the candidate having same marks in Math and Science, the
candidate having higher marks in English will be placed at higher Rank. For the candidate having same marks in Math, Science and English the candidate having high marks in General Awareness and Aptitude will be placed at higher rank. For candidate having same marks in Math, Science, English and General Awareness and Aptitude, senior in age will be placed at higher Rank.

ADMISSION IN SPECIAL QUOTA SEATS IN DIPLOMA (ENGG.).
** Haryana Govt. School Toppers (HGST) Seats: One seat in each branch in each Polytechnic is reserved for each Topper of Govt. Schools of Haryana (having minimum 2nd division) and shall be filled on the inter-se merit of percentage of qualifying exam(i.e. 10th class) through Online counseling at techadmissionshry.gov.in.

Candidates applying to HGST Category in Diploma (Engg.) shall also take the print out of online filled application form and deposit the same at nearby collection center (Appendix-II) or HSTES, Panchkula before the closing date along with the attested copy of following documents:
i. Certificate from the Principal/ Headmaster of the Govt. School of Haryana of which the candidate is Topper, clearly stating the strength of class and the candidate claiming HGST quota should be Topper (minimum 2nd division) in current year exam (i.e.- 2015). (Minimum strength of class should be 5 to become eligible for HGST) as given in Annexure-XIII.
ii. Attested copy of DMC of qualifying examination.
iii. Proof of application fee deposited.

** Kashmiri Migrants (KM) Quota: One seat in each branch in each Polytechnic is reserved for Kashmiri migrants for Diploma(Engg.) and these seats are to be filled up on supernumerary basis on the inter-se-merit of percentage of qualifying exam (i.e. 10th class) through Online counseling at techadmissionshry.gov.in by Haryana State Technical Education Society.

Candidates applying to KM Category in Diploma (Engg.) shall also take the print out of online filled application form and deposit the same at nearby collection center (Appendix-II) or HSTES, Panchkula before the closing date along with the attested copy of following documents:
i. Attested copy of Migration Certificate dully signed by competent authority of Relief Commissioner
ii. Attested copy of DMC of qualifying examination
iii. Proof of application fee deposited
** Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Scheme: Under Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Scheme of AICTE, Seats up to maximum 5 percent of sanctioned intake per course shall be available in all institutions approved by AICTE. These seats are supernumary in nature and shall be filled through online counseling on the basis of DET-2015 rank. Candidates applying to TFW category in Diploma (Engg.) shall also take the print out of online filled application form and deposit the same at nearby collection center (Appendix-II) or HSTES, Panchkula before the closing date along with the attested copy of following documents:
i. Income Certificate of the parents from all sources from the organization where parents are working or Affidavit of Income on stamp paper from Notary (Annual income of Parents/ Guardians should be less than Rs. 6.00 lakh from all sources)
ii. Haryana Resident Certificate (in case candidate has not passed/appeared in the qualifying examination from Haryana)
iii. Proof of Entrance Test Fee deposited

** Mewat Area Residents (MAR) Quota: 50% of total intake of Govt. Polytechnic, Uttawar in Diploma (Engg.) is horizontally reserved for the residents of Mewat Area. The seats reserved under Mewat Quota (after excluding 10 seats reserved for resident of Uttawar village.) shall be filled on the basis of DET-2015 rank through online offcampus counseling.
Candidates applying to MAR Category in Diploma (Engg.) shall also take the print out of online filled application form and deposit the same at nearby collection center (Appendix-II) or HSTES, Panchkula before the closing date along with the attested copy of following documents:
i. Proof of Mewat Area Residents (MAR)
ii. Proof of Entrance Test Fee deposited

** Shivalik Development Board (SDB) Quota: 50% of the total intake seats at Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Morni, District Panchkula are reserved for girl students who are bonafied residents of areas falling under the ambit of Shivalik Development Board (SDB) in Haryana. As per Govt. of Haryana, Revenue Development Notification No. 15/4/93-R-II/7035 dated 24.03.1993, the hill and semi hilly area comprising Morni, Pinjore, Barwala, Raipur Rani and Narainagarh Blocks of old Ambala District; Chhachhrauli, Sadhoura and Bilaspur blocks of District Yamuna Nagar constitute Shivalik Development Board (SDB) area. Further out of the 50% seats reserved for SDB area, 2 seats in each branch in diploma courses in Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Morni (Panchkula) are reserved for the residents of village Behlon in block Morni. In case no suitable candidates are available from village Behlon, then these 2 seats each will be offered to residents of villages under the Bhoj Ddarti Panchyat in which village Behlon falls. The seats reserved under SDB Quota shall be filled on the basis of DET-2015 rank through online offcampus counseling.
Candidates applying to SDB Category in Diploma (Engg.) shall also take the print out of online filledapplication form and deposit the same at nearby collection center (Appendix-II) or HSTES, Panchkula before the closing date along with the attested copy of following documents:
i. Proof of Bonafied Residents of Areas falling under the ambit of Shivalik Development Board (SDB)
ii. Proof of Entrance Test Fee deposited

** For Diploma (Engg) Course:
** 10 seats at S.J.P. Damla are horizontally reserved for nominees of Haryana Wakf Board (Chemical Engg. – 03 seats, Electronic&Comm. Engg- 04 seats, Computer Engg.- 03 seats) and one seats in Electronics & Communication Engg. is also reserved for resident of Damla village.
** 12 seats at Govt. Polytechnic, Sanghi are horizontally reserved for resident of Sanghi Village.
** 10 seats at Govt. Polytechnic, Lisana are horizontally reserved for resident of Lisana Village.
** 10 seats at Govt. Polytechnic, Manesar are horizontally reserved for resident of Manesar Village.
** 10 seats at Govt. Polytechnic, Uttawar are horizontally reserved for resident of Uttawar village.
** 02 seats in each branch in diploma courses in Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Morni (Panchkula) are reserved for the residents of village Behlon in block Morni. In case no suitable candidates are available from village Behlon, then these 2 seats each will be offered to residents of villages under the Bhoj Ddarti Panchyat in which village Behlon falls.
** 01 seat in each branch in diploma courses in Govt. Polytechnic, Shergarh (Kaithal) is reserved for the residents of village Shergarh.

The respective Principals of these Polytechnics shall make the admissions for these horizontally reserved seats firstly on the basis of rank of DET-2015 and thereafter on the merit of qualifying exam only through open advertisement.

Important Note:
The admission to Diploma (Engg.) courses under HGST and KM category will be on the basis of percentage of aggregate marks obtained in Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, English and Hindi in qualifying examination. Candidates should also be passing in all the subjects mentioned above. For candidates obtaining equal marks in merit, the candidate with higher marks in Math will be placed at higher Rank. If the candidate has same marks in Math, the candidate having higher marks in Science will be placed at higher Rank. For the candidate having same marks in Math and Science, the candidate having higher marks in English will be placed at higher Rank. For the candidate having same marks in Math, Science and English the candidate having higher marks in Hindi or fourth subject will be placed at higher Rank. For the candidate having same marks in Math, Science, English and Hindi/or fourth subject, the candidate with highly marks in 5th Subject. For the candidate having same marks in 5th subject, the candidate senior in age will be placed at higher Rank.

Candidates, if any, simultaneously applying for DET-2015 for admission in Diploma (Engg.) as per his/ her category and also through TFW, MAR and SDB quota are required to deposit separate counseling fee through onlinetesthry.gov.in.

Candidate, if any, simultaneously applying for all options i.e. Diploma Entrance Test (DET-2015), Haryana Govt. School Toppers (HGST), Kashmiri Migrants (KM) Quota is required to fill separate online Application Form and deposit separate counseling fee for each option, through onlinetesthry.gov.in before submitting the printout of online filled application form alongwith relevant attested merit calculation form. After the display of merit list, candidate has to participate in Online Off-campus counseling conducted by NIC through techadmissionshry.gov.in, separately for each category.

1. The list of Govt./ Govt. Aided/ Self Financing Polytechnics alongwith Branches and Sanctioned Intake for the Session 2015-2016 is available at Appendix-VI.
2. Institutions/ Branches/ Sanctioned Intake are subject to change. Updated information would be available on the website techadmissionshry.gov.in at the time of counseling.

ADMISSION IN DIPLOMA (ENGG.) – Lateral Entry :
** Eligibility :
** All those candidates who have passed ITI of atleast two years duration (after 10th), 10+2 (vocational) or 10+2 with Phyisics, Chemistry and Math (PCM) will be eligible for consideration in various Diploma Engineering courses on the basis of merit/rank obtained in DET (L)-2015 only and as per the compatibility of the courses as mentioned below.
** The candidates who have passed 10+2 (Arts/ Commerce) will be eligible for consideration in Non- Engineering Diploma Courses (Diploma in Business Management, Industrial & Personal Management, Hotel Management, Finance, Accounts & Auditing, Library & Information Science and Office Management & Computer Application).
** Candidates who have passed 10+2 (Medical) will be eligible for consideration in Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
** Candidates who have completed Three year diploma in particular branch would be eligible to take admission in 2nd year of a different branch through lateral entry.

** Basis of Admissions :
Admission of the candidates to the Diploma level courses under the lateral entry scheme will be made on the basis of inter-se-merit/rank of On-Line Lateral Entry Diploma Entrance Test i.e. DET (L) – 2015. For candidates obtaining equal marks in OLET DET (L)-2015 merits, the candidate with higher marks in Math will be placed at higher Rank. If the candidate has same marks in Math, the candidate having higher marks in science will be placed at higher Rank. For the candidate having same marks in Math and Science, the candidate having higher marks in English will be placed at higher Rank. For the candidate having same marks in Math, Science and English the candidate having high marks in General Awareness and Aptitude will be placed at higher rank. For candidate having same marks in Math, Science, English and General Awareness andAptitude, senior in age will be placed at higher Rank.

ADMISSION IN DIPLOMA PHARMACY [Two Years Duration – (Annual Courses)]
** Entry qualification: 10+2 from Board of School Education, Haryana, or equivalent examination from a recognized board/ university with 35%. (Subject to change by State Govt. decision)
** Eligibility (Subject to change by State Govt. / Pharmacy Council decision if any) Pass with 35% marks froma recognized Board/University in any of the following examination with pass in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics:
** Intermediate examination in science.
** First year of the three years degree courses in science.
** Regular 10+2 examination only in science academic stream.
** 12 years Higher Secondary Education Board Exam (Science academic stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology) of Higher Secondary Education Board, Nepal.
** Pre-degree exam., or
** Any other qualification approved by Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examination.

NOTE:
1. As per letter no. 14-2/2003- PCI-13059-761 dt:- 13-12-2004 of Pharmacy Council of India, candidates having Senior Secondary Certificate of Haryana Open School, Bhiwani are not eligible for admission to Diploma Course in Pharmacy.
2. As per letter no. 14-2/2006- PCI-5763-6337 dt:- 13-06-2007 of Pharmacy Council of India, following are not eligible to admission to Diploma Course in Pharmacy:
(a) Candidates having pre-university examinations (new scheme) of Andhra University with Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Physics, Chemistry, Biology are not eligible.
(b) Candidates of open school of any State and Senior Secondary School Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Maths conducted by National Open School, New Delhi are also not eligible.

** Basis of Admission :
Admission to Diploma Pharmacy course shall be made on the basis of inter-se-merit/rank prepared on the basis of %age of qualifying examination through On-line Off-Campus counseling at techadmissionshry.gov.in. Order of merit shall be decided on the basis of percentage of aggregate marks obtained in qualifying examination in Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Mathematics and English. In case of tie, the tie breaking criteria will be in the order of marks obtained in Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Mathematics and English. If tie, still persists senior in age will be placed at higher merit.

Note: Applications for Diploma (Pharmacy) including MAR Category shall also be invited online at onlinetesthry.gov.in and the fee for the purpose shall also be charged online. The candidate shall also take the print out of online filled application form and deposit the same at near by collection center (Appendix-II) or HSTES, Panchkula before the closing date along with attested copy of DMC of qualifying examination and proof of application fee deposited. Original copies to be produced for verification at the collection centre.

** ADMISSION IN SPECIAL QUOTA SEATS IN DIPLOMA (PHARMACY):
Mewat Area Residents (MAR) Quota: 50% of total intake of Govt. Polytechnic, Uttawar in Diploma (Pharmacy) is horizontally reserved for the residents of Mewat Area. The seats reserved under Mewat Quota shall also be filled on the basis of inter-se-merit/rank prepared on the basis of %age of qualifying examination through On-line Off- Campus counseling.

The candidate applying for MAR category shall apply online and shall also take the print out of online filled application form and deposit the same at near by collection center (Appendix-II) or HSTES, Panchkula before the closing date along with the proof of Mewat Resident, attested copy of DMC of qualifying examination and proof of application fee deposited.

D. Physical Standards for Diploma (Engg.)/ Diploma (Engg) – Lateral Entry/ Diploma (Pharmacy) Courses
All the candidates seeking admission in the various Polytechnics/Institutions affiliated to State Board of Technical Education Haryana will have to submit a medical certificate given at Annexure–XIV of this Prospectus duly signed by any Govt./ Registered Medical Practitioner having MBBS Degree at the time of joining the Institute. The standards of Physical Fitness are laid down in Annexure-XIVA.
