Welcome To CIPET :
Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET) was established in 1968 by Government of India with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) assistance at Chennai.

The main objective of setting up of the institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country. International Labour Organization (ILO) served as the executing agency. During the initial project period between 1968 and 1973, the institute achieved the targets envisaged and was rated as one of the most successful UNDP projects implemented worldwide. Today CIPET is a premier national institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India fully devoted to Academic, Technology Support Services and Research & Development (ATR). CIPET operates on hub & spokes model with 23 locations – 5 High Learning Centres, 11 Other Learning Centres, 3 Specialized Units, 2 R & D Wings, 1 Vocational Training Centre, 1 Petrochemical Data Services spread across the length & breadth of the country catering to the needs of Polymer and allied industries

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM (2015-16):
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS :
** Inadequate information furnished in each relevant column of the application form would entail rejection of candidature.
** No request for change of examination center will be entertained.
** Candidates employed in Govt. sector should submit a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer along with the application.
** For Physically Challenged (Handicapped) candidates, who are otherwise fit to pursue the course, seats are reserved as per GOI norms.
** For any category of disability (viz., locomotor, visual, speech, and/or hearing), benefit would be given to those candidates who have atleast 40% permanent physical impairment in relation to a body part / system / extremity / extremities / whose body, etc., (Appropriate certificate of proof to be produced).
** Residential proof for North Eastern state candidates to be submitted (If applicable)
** Candidates are required to have their scanned image of photograph and signature to upload in the online application.
The image properties should be as follows,
** Photo – 400 X 400 pixels, Size 250 kb.
** Signature – 400 x 300 pixels, Size 250 kb.
** image formats are gif, jpg, jpeg and png.
Option of JEE Centre: If sufficient number of candidates havn’t opted for any particular centre, such centers are liable to be cancelled and next nearest centre will be allotted to the candidate.

Indicate the order of preference for admission:
For Example:
1. If you belong to Uttar Pradesh / Uttaranchal, your state zone centre is Lucknow. All Other CIPET centres are Non-State Zone. If your order of choice is Lucknow Centre,
i.e., State Zone- First preference Second preference CIPET – JEE 2015 State Zone (SZ) Non State Zone (NZ)
2. If you belong to Gujarat, your State Zone centre is Ahmedabad. All Other CIPET Centres are Non-State Zone. If your order of choice is other than Ahmedabad,
i.e., Non-State Zone: First preference Second preference

Candidates belong to SC/ST, OBC (NCL) & Physically Challenged (Handicapped) category are required to submit the appropriate certificate as proof.
In case of candidates appeared/appearing for the entry qualification Examination shall produce their pass certificate of the qualifying examination at the time of JEE, failing which no claim will be entertained for consideration for CIPET admission.
List of documents to be submitted/attached along with filled-in online Application Form
** Attested photocopy of Date of Birth Certificate.
** Attested photocopies of entry qualification (X / XII standard / Diploma / Degree Certificates)
** Valid GATE score certificate (if available for M.Tech. program).
** Attested Community Certificates (for SC, ST, OBC (NCL) candidates).
** Residential proof for North Eastern state candidates.(If applicable)

Candidates shall take a printout of Filled-in online application form and submit with the above enclosures to Chief Manager (TS) – OLC CIPET Head Office, Guindy, Chennai – 600 032 on or before 12th June 2015.
