AP Polytechnic Common Entrance Test :

The State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad will conduct “Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET)” for the candidates seeking admission in to all Diploma Courses in Engineering / Non Engineering/Technology offered at Polytechnics / institutions in Andhra Pradesh State for the academic year 2016 – 2017.

Eligibility Criteria :
** Candidate shall be an Indian National
** Candidate should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh as defined in G.O.(P).No. 646, Education (w) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and its subsequent amendments.

** Candidates should have passed S.S.C. Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P/TS. such as Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education(ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X class examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Mathematics as one of the subjects, and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.

** Candidates belonging to NIOS/APOSS/CBSE/ICSE/OTHER Examinations recognized as equivalent to SSC by A.P. Govt. SHOULD HAVE PASSED ALL THE SUBJECTS including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, with minimum of 35% Marks in each subject.

** Candidates who appeared or are appearing for SSC or equivalent examination being held in March/April-2016, and whose results are yet to be declared can also appear for POLYCET-2016.

** There is no age restriction for appearing for POLYCET-2016. However maximum eligible age for obtaining a scholarship, the guidelines prescribed in Memo No. 10537/SW(Edn.2)/2011, and issued from time to time by Social Welfare (Edn.) Department shall apply.

** Mere appearing for POLYCET-2016 and obtaining a merit rank does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission automatically unless the candidate fulfils the requirements laid down for admission.

How To Apply For Polycet-2016 :
** For convenience of the candidate ONLINE filling of application for POLYCET-2016 is facilitated by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, A.P. Hyderabad.
** Student can approach any of the nearest aponline/meeseva/payment gateway/net banking/Help line centers (Polytechnics).

For any query the candidate may contact the Principal of the respective HLC
* List of APOnline centers can be seen from polycetap.nic.in or sbtetap.gov.in or aponline.gov.in
* All the Helpline centers will work under the guidance of respective Coordinators.
* POLYCET 2016 application booklet with Application will be available in sbtetap.gov.in, polycetap.nic.in.

Fill in the Application form as per the guidelines:
** First fill the 10th Class Hall ticket No., Year of pass and Date of Birth.
** Fill your name as per school records with one letter for each box. Leave a gap between parts of your name.
** Fill your father’s name
** Fill in your date of birth in DD MM YYYY [Date /Month/Year] format.
** Fill in your address details (House number, Village/street, Mandal /town/city, District, PIN code, mobile number for correspondence.
** Fill in the place where you would like to appear for Examination. Refer the table of
** Examination/ help line centers.
** Enter the area code to which you are local to Andhra Pradesh (Refer Annexure-II).
** Enter your reservation category (BC/SC/ST) [Refer Annexure-IV]
** Enter your special category, if any (CAP/SP/PH/NCC).
** Fill in minority community details (Other than Hindu) as entered in your school records.
** Fill in your willingness to appear the examination in Urdu medium. Examination in Urdu medium will be conducted only at Guntur and Nandyal centers.
** Sign the declaration with regard to your physical fitness to pursue the polytechnic courses.

** The filled in application form with photograph affixed (Do not stapled and Do not sign on the photo) and duly signed by Parent/Guardian should be submitted to the computer operator at the nearest Aponline/Meeseva/Payment gateway/Net Banking/Help Line center with a cash payment of Rs 330/-.

Commencement of filing of online application : 18-03-2016 (Friday)
Last date for sale of POLYCET booklet and filing of online application: 12-04-2016 (Tuesday)
Date of conduct of POLYCET-2016 : 27-04-2016 (Wednesday) Time: 11.00 AM to 1.00 PM
Tentative Date of declaration of results : 09-05-2016 (Monday)
