COMMON ENTRANCE TEST FOR MBBS
ADMISSION TO I MBBS IN MAHATMA GANDHI MEDICAL COLLEGE AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE, PUDUICHERRY / SHRI SATHYA SAI MEDICAL COLLEGE AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE, CHENNAI.
In Pursuance to the decisions of the Apex court in Islamic Academic Educational and Another Vs. State of Karnataka and others dated 14.08-2003, a Common Entrance Test is to be conducted. Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth -a Deemed University will be conducting entrance test for Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute and Shri Sathya Sai Medical College and Research Institute for the purpose to admit students in MBBS Course.
The application is meant for registering the candidate for Common Entrance Test conducted by SRI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH- a Deemed University for Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute and Shri Sathya Sai Medical College and Research Institute.
Both the colleges are approved by Medical Council of India and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi.
Total No. of seats available in both the college excluding NRI quota 340
Eligibility for Admission :
As pre requisite for admission to I MBBS degree course, candidates must have appeared in Common Entrance Test 2015. However, mere appearance will not automatically qualify a candidate for admission to MBBS degree course. For admission to MBBS degree course, the candidate should fulfil the necessary requirements prescribed by SRI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH- a Deemed University.
Minimum Academic Qualification :
Candidates for admission to the First year MBBS Degree Course should have passed the H.Sc (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or other equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks40%marks for SC/ST/OBC) in the subjects-Physics, Chemistry,Biology Botany Zoology) / Bio-Technology. Candidates must have taken English as a core subject.
Student should also secure a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks in respect of SC/ST/OBC) in the Common Entrance Test to be eligible for seeking admission
Age Criteria :
Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2015.

Instructions and Guidelines to Fill the Application Form :
Candidate desirous of appearing for the Common Entrance Test conducted by Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth-a Deemed University should fill their application in the prescribed format and send directly by post. Candidates either have to use the application form given along with the Information brochure issued by the college or downloaded application form from website: balajitrust.org Candidates who use the downloaded application form have to pay Rs.1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred only) as a Demand Draft towards the cost of the application along with the completed application form. The Application and Information booklet can also be obtained in person on payment of Rs.1500/- Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred only) by cash from the College Office at Puducherry / Chennai or can be obtained by Post by sending a requisition along with Demand Draft for Rs.1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred only) inclusive of postal charges drawn in favour of SRI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH, Payable at Puducherry. After processing, if found eligible, the Hall Ticket will be sent to the candidate by post.

The completed application form should reach the office before 5.00 pm. on 06-06-2015. The UNIVERSITY will not be responsible for postal or any other delay. Incomplete Wrongly filled application will be summarily rejected.The application received after the due date and time will also be summarily rejected and no further correspondence in the matter will be entertained.

Shri balaji Vidyapeeth calling only 360 candidate for 301 seats while they should call at least 2-3 times candidates of available seat. It shows that result is a fixed result and exam was only for show. Now it has come in knowledge of public. This is not good for any institution.

He/she shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the preceding year of admission, of the year of admission to the MBBS course.
He/she has passed qualifying examination as under:
The higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate which in equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and mathematics or any other elective subjects with English at a level not less than core course of English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years educational structure as recommended by the National Committee of Education.
