Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management (BHM) is a four year degree programme. The BHM course is structured to provide a high level of professional education with training to meet the latest standards and trends in the global hospitality Industry.

Eligibility :
Admission to the AWES Professional Colleges is for children of eligible serving Army personnel, eligible ex-Army personnel and war widows of the Army. The children of the following categories of Army personnel are eligible and are required to submit the relevant certificates (as given against the category) as proof of their eligibility for admission to AWES Professional Colleges along with the Application Form.

(a) The applicants must belong to one of the following categories:-
(i) Children of serving Army personnel with minimum 10 years of continuous service in the Army (Submit Certificate No 1).
(ii) Children of Ex – Army personnel granted/ awarded regular pension, liberalized family pension, family pension or disability pension at the time of their superannuation, demise, discharge, release medical board/ invalided medical board. This includes wards of recruits medically boarded out and granted disability pension. (Submit Certificate No 1).
(iii) Children of Ex-Army personnel who have taken discharge or released after ten years of service (Submit Certificate No 1).

(b) Adopted /Step children and children of Remarried Widows .
(i) Adopted Child of Army personnel if adopted at least five years prior to seeking admission. (Submit Certificate No 2).
(ii) Step Children are eligible provided they are born from a wedding where at least one parent belonged to the Army who is other wise eligible. (Submit Certificate No 2).

(c) Eligibility Criteria in Special Cases
(i) Eligibility Criteria for Wards of Ex Army Medical Corps Officers/Army Dental Corps Officers presently serving with Indian Navy or Indian Air Force(IN/IAF). Wards of only those ex Army medical Officers/Army Dental Corps officers presently serving with Indian Navy or Indian Air Force who have served with the Army for atleast 10 years (Submit Certificate No 3).

(ii) Eligibility Criteria for Children of APS/ MNS/TA Personnel (Submit Certificate No 3).
(aa) Children of APS personnel classified as Ex- servicemen as per Govt of India, Ministry of Defence letter No 9 (52)/88/D(Res) dated 19 Jul 89.
(ab) Children of those APS personnel who are on deputation and who have put in 10 years of service in the Army.
(ac) Children of APS personnel, who are directly recruited into APS who have completed 10 years of service and of those who as per their terms and conditions of service, retired from APS without reversion to P&T Department after completing their minimum pensionable service of which 10 years was in the Army.
(ad) Children of only those members of MNS who have 10 years service as regular members of MNS or are in receipt of pension from the Army.
(ae) Children of only those TA personnel who have completed 10 years of embodied service.

Prospectus & Application Form :
Prospectus cum application form can be obtained by paying Rs 1000-00 (Rupees one thousand only) which includes postal charges (non refundable) by demand draft in favour of the “Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (AIHM & CT)”, payable at Bangalore. The prospectus cum applications form can also be downloaded from the college website aihmctbangalore.com or by hand from the college / Command HQs (AWES)/Army HQ (AWES) through demand draft only.

Application form duly filled in by the candidates should be submitted to the Principal, AIHM & CT, Nagareshwara Nagenahalli, Kothanur Post, Bangalore – 560 077. The last date for receipt of completed application form is 05 Mar 2016 and with a late fee of Rs. 200-00 is 15 Mar 2016. Candidate should ensure their eligibility for the course before filling in their application forms.

Application form for admission will be rejected if :
(a) Improperly filled in and not signed by the candidate seeking admission.
(b) Not accompanied by attested copies of the requisite certificates in support of the claims made in the application.
(c) Not received in the Institute office on or before the last date specified. Delays/lapses due to postal or courier services will not be accepted.

The application form should be filled in by the candidate alongwith the list of documents attached. Any documents other than those attached to the original application form will not be accepted after the last date prescribed for submission of application.

To avoid errors, the Application No, the Roll No, the Admit Card No and the Attendance Card No. will be the same as printed on the Application form. No separate Roll No. will be allotted to the candidate.

The admission will be forfeited if the information provided by the candidate is found to be false and the fees paid will not be refunded.

Certificates To Be Submitted With Application Form :
Certificates required to be submitted along with the application form by all candidates are as indicated below:-
(a) Admit Card and Attendance Card.
(b) Proof of Age as per Std X/XII or Equivalent Mark Sheet/ TC.
(c) Statement of Marks of Qualifying examination with aggregate marks.
(d) Appropriate certificates in respect of various categories to avail priority for admission.
(e) Proof of gallantry award for grant of weightage vide para-9 above.
(f) Willingness Certificate.
(g) Copies of marks card and passing certificate of the qualifying examination. In case the candidate is appearing for the qualifying examination, the marks card should be forwarded within 7 days of the announcement of result by registered post to AIHM & CT, Nagareshwara Nagenahalli, Kothanur Post, Bangalore-560 077 or in person.

4. Last date with a draft of Rs.15,000-00 as confirmation for admission 15 May 2016 (Wednesday)
5. Counselling cum Admission session As per merit list (Tuesday & Wednesday) 14 & 15 Jun 2016
