IIIT-H is looking for students who aim to transform industry and society by developing new applications/systems by doing cutting-edge research. We focus on research in the core areas of Information Technology and its application in other areas.

IIIT-H is inviting applications for the academic year 2016-17 from the candidates who have completed (or going to complete by July 2016) B.Tech./B.E./B.Arch. etc., in any branch of Engineering, B.Sc. in Agriculture (or equivalent), BSc in Physics, Chemistry or Biology with good Mathematics background, or M.Tech./M.E./MCA/M.Sc./M.A. for admission into Postgraduate and Research programs in the areas of Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computational Linguistics, Computer Aided Structural Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Natural Sciences (Dual-Degree & MSc), IT in Building Sciences, Spatial Informatics (Remote Sensing and GIS) and Humanities .

Date of Entrance Examination: 17 April 2016 ( Sunday ) [ 10 AM to 1 PM ]
Date of Opening PGEE Portal : 2 Feb 2016
Last Date for the Submission of Applications through the PGEE Portal : 31 March 2016
Last Date for the receipt of Application fee through online payment gateway : 31 March 2016
Admit Cards will be made available for download in PDF format : 9 April 2016

How To Apply :

All applications should be submitted through online PGEE portal. To submit the application, a candidate has to complete two registration forms: Pre-Registration Form and Main Registration Form.

Steps for Online Application Procedure :
Online Application Procedure. It involves the following steps to complete the online application. Read it carefully.
Step 1:
Fill the Pre-Registration Form
After filling the Pre-Registration form, the candidate receives an e-mail which contains the link and identification code.
(If you do not receive confirmation email after pre-registration, please check your spam or bulk folders).

Step 2:
Click the link in the email which you receives after the pre-registration form
New window open to type the identification code (see the email for identification code)
Type the identification code in the column (advised to copy and paste in the column to avoid the errors) to proceed for Main Registration Form

Step 3:
Furnish the personal particulars
Educational details
Project records (if any)
Employment record (if any)

Step 4:
Programme preferences wish to join at IIIT-Hyderabad
Application fee payment options (click your preference): Credit Card /Net Banking/Debit Card
Preferences for Entrance Examination Centre (PGEE-2016)
Statement of Purpose (Mandatory)

Step 5:
Upload of resume in pdf /doc formats (file size: < 1 MB)
Upload of recent passport size photograph in .jpg format ( file size: < 600 KB)

Step 6:
Check the filled in application details
If the data is correct, please press submit button OR edit data if you wish

Step 7:
Payment page – Proceed for online payment
Click the button to proceed for online payment

Step 8:
Verify fee payment details
Press continue button

Step 9:
Proceed to payment gateway
Choose payment preference option – Credit Card / Net Banking / Debit Card , etc.

Step 10:
Fill the bank particulars and make the payment

Step 11:
Receive an acknowledgement of fee payment to the candidate’s registered email id
Also receive the application details to the registered email id

Selection to Postgraduate Courses is based on performance in Entrance Test and Interview ( Gate Qualifying or Score is not mandatory for Selection of Postgraduate courses at IIIT Hyderabad )

Filling of Pre-Registration Form :
After filling the Pre-Registration form, the candidate receives an E-Mail which contains the link and identification code. The link should be opened in a browser by supplying the identification code to fill in the Main Registration Form.

Filling of Main Registration Form :
The main registration form can only be filled by opening the link received through the E-Mail, after filling in the preceeding pre-registration form.

Important Notes :
Note that the Registration WILL NOT be considered until the candidate completes the Main Registration Form. After filling in the Main Registration Form, the candidate gets an Acknowledgement E-Mail, which confirms that the registration is complete.
The purpose of Pre-Registration Form is to confirm the e-mail address. So it is very important to give a valid e-mail ID as it will be used for later communication.
If there is any problem with e-mail ID registered during the registration or before payment, kindly register with a new e-mail ID.
Note that the candidate can also update the information such as program details and center till their application has been finalized, by following the same link which has been received after filling in pre-registration form.
Everytime you update or modify your information you will get an updated acknowledge e-mail.
Most important, please check the acknowledgement E-Mails in your “Bulk” or “Junk” folders, because sometimes the mails may go there.
Application will be considered valid only after the Pre-Registration and Main-Registration form is completed, and the application fee is received by IIIT-H.

About Application Fees:
Applicants can apply for one or more programmes in the same form by indicating choices.
The application fee is Rs. 2000/- for one programme and Rs. 50/- extra for each additional programme applied for.
Application fee can be paid either through Credit Card or Debit Card or Net Banking.
Credit Card – While filling-in the Main Registration form, the candidate can opt for Credit Card option follow the subsequent instruction.
