Master of Computer Application (MCA) :
THE PROGRAMME: Emphasis on application development by incorporating soft development skills. Postgraduate degree program in computer application is a six semester intensive program in computer application stream. The primary emphasis in MCA is on designing information systems for various organizations such as banks, insurance companies, hotels, hospitals etc. Development of application software in diverse areas where computers are used will be the main function of MCA graduates. The major thrust is on giving the students a sound background in computing, business function, mathematics related to information technology.
NUMBER OF SEATS: 30 seats

ELIGIBILITY: B.Sc. (Computer Science / Computer Application / Information Technology) or B.C.A./B.E/B.Tech. (CSE/IT) of minimum three year duration with a minimum of 50% marks for Gen/OBC and 45% marks for SC/ST and Mathematics/Computer Science/Computer application as one of the subject at Intermediate / Higher Secondary (i.e. 10+2) level. Students of BCA final semester of Lucknow University or affiliated college of Lucknow University can apply if candidate passed (without any back paper) in all semester and having 50% marks (aggregate) up-to 5th semester for GEN/OBC and 45% marks SC/ST respectively. Similarly, Students of B.Sc. (Computer Science / Computer Application / Information Technology) final year, Lucknow University or affiliated college of Lucknow University can apply if candidate passed (without any back paper) in Ist year and IInd year having 50% marks (aggregate) in both years for GEN/OBC and 45% marks SC/ST respectively.

ADMISSION CRITERIA: The admission shall be done on the basis of combined entrance test (100 marks). There shall be no negative marking. Entrance Test Question paper will consist of multiple choice question.

Part – A: 40 Multiple Choice Questions, based on Logical reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, English Comprehension, General Knowledge.
Part – B: 60 Multiple Choice Questions, based on B.C.A./B.Sc.(Computer Science) Syllabus of University of Lucknow.
Venue: for Entrance Examination test: Department of Computer Science, University of Lucknow, Lucknow
Time: for Entrance Examination test: One and Half hours (90 Minutes).

LUCSAT -2015: Important Information
** Application form of M.C.A admission is available on the website of University of Lucknow , Lucknow < www.lkouniv.ac.in > from 20th March-2015.
** Application fees for MCA admission, Rs. 800/- for Gen/OBC Candidates and Rs. 400/- for SC/ST Candidates. Application fees must be submitted through demand draft in favour of “Finance Officer, University of Lucknow”, Lucknow.
** Application form must be send to Admission chairman LUCSAT-2015 by Speed Post only along-with demand draft, Self Attested Xerox copies of certificates/Mark Sheets and Two Self addressed Envelops size (27x12cm) duly stamped with Rs.39/-. No application form shall be accepted by hand.
** Last date to receive duly filled application form by the Admission Chairman LUCSAT-2015, Office of the admission, Department of Computer Science, LU 30th May-2015.
** There shall be no weightage of any P.G. Degree/Diploma.
** Date of MCA Entrance Examination is 10th June-2015 at 9.00am to 10.30 am.

The existing reservation rules of the University shall apply for MCA Admission LUCSAT-2015.
FEES: Total fee per semester is Rs. 54,000.00 (Fifty four thousand per Sem.)
