AIMA Research Management Aptitude Test

AIMA & AMU PhD PROGRAMME :
** In a resource poor country like India the demand for professionally qualified managers to manage the scarce resources effectively and efficiently is high.

** This is also indicated by the burgeoning number of institutes, which grant the MBA degree or its equivalent.
** This growth however, has to be supported by growth in the availability of faculty with doctorate in management subject to man the positions in these institutes so that the quality of management education and research is further improved.
** AIMA and AMU Joint PhD programme is aimed at providing formal training to budding faculty and working managers, with inclination for academics, teaching a research.
** It helps in development of skills and competencies based on a sound understanding of the principles of management and methods of conducting research with scientific rigour.
** PhD Programme is beneficial for working managers who are constrained by time and location to pursue regular Ph.D from Universities and other Institutes offering full time Ph.D programmes.

Last Date for Online Registration : 30 November 2015
Last Date for receipt of filled in Online Registration Form at AIMA, New Delhi : 4 December 2015
Test Date : 12 December 2015 (Saturday)

Admit Card

Candidates should check the Roll No. and Test Centre details for the test from AIMA website apps.aima.in/PHD2015Dec seven days before the date of test.

Send the duly completed Print Version of Online Application Form having Auto Generated Registration No. to ” Manager (PhD Programme), AIMA-CME, Management House, 14 Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003″ so as to reach on or before 04 December 2015. Registration Process will be completed only on receipt of Print Version of Online Application Form together with all relevant attachments. Admit Card of only those candidates will be uploaded whose application form alongwith testimonials will be reached on the Manager (PhD Programme), AIMA-CME, Management House, 14 Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003 by 04 December 2015.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

** Candidates are to report to the allotted test centre at least 45 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the test.
** Neither any candidate will be admitted 15 minutes after the commencement of the test nor any extra time granted for completing the test.

Candidates are to be in possession of the following when reporting to the test centre:
Document:
Admit Card duly completed.
Writing Materials: Ball Point Pen, HB Pencils, Eraser and Sharpener.

** The test room will be opened about 30 minutes before the commencement of the test.
** The candidates are to be seated at the allotted place.
** Your Admit Card will be verified during the test.
** One part of Admit Card will be given to you as proof of your having appeared in the test.
** Please ensure that this is duly signed by you and the test invigilator.
** The duration of the test is 90 minutes.
** There are 100 questions.
** All questions are compulsory.
** Each question has four options marked (1), (2), (3) and (4).
** All questions carry equal mark.
** There will be NO Negative Marking for wrong answers.
** It is your responsibility to make certain that you understand and follow the directions for answering.
** AIMA can accept the responsibility of scanning / capturing your answer accurately only if it is completed in accordance with directions.
** Take the questions in order, but do not waste time pondering over those that seem extremely difficult or unfamiliar to you.
** A wise practice is to first answer the questions you are sure of.
** Then, if you complete the test before time is called, go back and reconsider any questions about which you were uncertain.
** Although the RMAT stresses on accuracy more than speed, it is important to use the allotted time wisely.
** Make every effort to pace yourself by making yourself familiar with the mechanics of the test.
** The directions explain exactly what each set of questions requires to answer those questions.
** Read all test directions carefully.
** Read each question carefully and thoroughly. Before answering a question, determine exactly what is being asked.
** Calculator, Pager, Mobile, etc are not permitted inside the test room.
** All the questions and instructions of the test will be in English only.
** Candidate will be allowed to leave the test room after the completion of test and only after permitted by the invigilator.
** If you wish to leave the room during the test, you must have the invigilator’s permission.
** You will not be permitted to make up the time you lose.
** AIMA reserves the right to cancel the admission/entry to the test/withhold the results of any candidate who impersonates/uses unfair means during the test.
** This is without prejudice to any other action that can be initiated.
** Non-adherence to any instructions or failure to comply with any rules governing the conduct of test will lead to cancellation of your candidature.
** All disputes pertaining to any aspect of the test will be settled through any arbitrator, who shall be appointed by the Director General, AIMA. Further, all legal cases pertaining to any matter of the test will be dealt with under the jurisdiction of Delhi Courts only.

Guidelines for Applying Online through Demand Draft

1.3 Obtaining of Demand Draft (Pre-Requisite):
You have to provide certain details from the Demand Draft at the time of online registration. Therefore, you must have the Demand Draft ready before filling up the Registration Form.
You are required to obtain a Demand Draft for Rs.1500/- drawn in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at New Delhi , in advance.
Application submitted without the details of the Demand Draft will not be accepted

1.4 Fill Online Registration Form:
With the Demand Draft ready, you can do online registration. You are to exercise sufficient care while furnishing the details. Recheck before submitting online as no editing is possible after submission.

1.5 After filling the form correctly, Click the button “Proceed Next”. The data filled by you will be displayed. In case you wish to change any information, click “Back to Edit Registration Form” button. If there is no change in information, click “Submit” button. Recheck before submitting online as no editing is possible after submission.
1.6 An auto-generated Registration Number is allotted to you on successful submission of online registration form and will appear on print version of the Registration Form.
1.7 Before taking the print out, save the print version of application form using ‘SAVE AS’ function in the ‘FILE’ menu of the window.
1.8 After taking the print out, affix your passport size photograph & put your signature in the space provided and attach the Demand Draft with the print version of application.
1.9 You must keep an additional copy of the application form for all future reference.

2 Despatching of duly completed printout of Registration Form
2.1 Make the set of the following documents:
Print out of the filled online RMAT Registration Form with auto-generated Registration No. with your photograph affixed and duly signed.
On the back of Demand Draft please fill the following details :
Your Name
Auto-generated Registration Number
Copy of Matriculation Certificate, Graduation & Post Graduation/Professional Degree & Mark sheets
Copy of Experience Certificate giving details of work experience, till date certified by your current employer.

2.2 Send the above set of documents to:

3 Downloading of Admit Card
3.1 Check AIMA website link apps.aima.in/PHD2015Dec seven days before the date of test for downloading Admit Card.
3.2 Access individual Admit Card using Online Auto Generated RMAT Registration Number.
3.3 Take the printout of Admit Card from the above website link. Admit card will have the Roll Number and Test Centre Address. No separate Admit Card will be issued.
3.4 Affix on the Admit Card two similar photographs already kept in self custody.
3.5 Get the Photographs on the Admit Card attested by any Gazetted Officer.
3.6 Produce ‘RMAT Admit Card’ duly completed at the test centre for appearing in the test. (Admit Card will be verified and signed by the Invigilator during the test. The Upper Half of the Admit Card will be collected by the Invigilator and the Lower Half will be handed over to the candidate.)
