GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (GIMSR) is established by GITAM University to provide quality medical education of global standards.

The MBBS program is being offered by GIMSR, GITAM University at Visakhapatnam campus with permission from Medical Council of India (MCI), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, UGC and MHRD, Govt. of India from the academic year 2015-16.

Application & Registration :
1. All applicants are advised to read the prospectus before starting online registration.
2. While filling the online application, ensure that no column is left blank.
3. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
4. Applications not supported by payment of registration fee are liable for rejection.
5. In the event of rejection of the application form, no information will be provided and no correspondence/ request for re-consideration, will be entertained (Refer to status online).

Eligibility :
1. Age: Candidates should have attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on the 31st December, 2015.

2. Essential Qualification: Candidates must have studied in a recognized school and passed 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme/ Senior School Certificate Examination CBSE/ ISE/ Intermediate of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana or an equivalent Examination of a recognized Board and passed not earlier than 2013-14 academic year and obtained 50% marks aggregate of Biology (Botany & Zoology), Chemistry and Physics.

Application Procedure :
1. Prospectus: The candidate is required to go through the Prospectus available online carefully and acquaint himself/herself of all requirements with regard to filling of the online application form.

2. Online Application Form: A candidate seeking admission through GMET-2015 is required to fill up the Application Form available online on gitam.edu

3. Registration Fee:
The fee for Online Registration and Entrance Test is Rs. 1,000/- for boys (Rs. 600/- for girls) to be paid through Demand Draft drawn on any scheduled bank in favour of GITAM University, payable at Visakhapatnam, which is non-refundable and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

4. Submission of Application:
Take a print out of filled-in application and send it along with DD so as to reach the Director – Admissions, GITAM University, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam-530045, Andhra Pradesh on or before 07th September, 2015 (Monday).

5. It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that correct address is filled in the Application Form. The University will not be responsible for any loss in transit or for incorrect address given by the applicant in the Application Form.

Guidelines & Instructions to Applicant :

1. Incomplete Applications will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
2. Do not submit any document, original or photocopy, with the application. The University does not take any responsibility for returning these documents.
3. Admission of candidates to GMET-2015 is provisional, subject to eligibility criteria for admission to MBBS Program.
4. Any document/certificate submitted at a later stage should bear the following title : “Application No……. for M.B.B.S. GMET- 2015”.

5. In case any candidate is found to have furnished false information or certificates etc. or is found to have withheld or concealed any material information in his/her application, he/she will be debarred from admission.

6. No Candidate should register more than one application.
7. Download the Hall Ticket from gitam.edu
8. Familiarize yourself with directions to reach the test centre in advance.
9. Reach the Test Centre at-least half an hour before the test time.
10. You are allowed to carry only the Hall Ticket and Identity Proof (Aadhar Card / Passport / School ID / 12th class Board Hall Ticket with photograph).

11. Do not copy anything including questions, during the test. You have to return the Question Paper Booklet & OMR Answer Sheet to the Invigilator before leaving the Examination Hall.
