RESEARCH COMMON ENTRANCE TEST – 2015 (YVURESCET – 2015) :
Online applications are invited from the eligible candidates through the website yvudoa.in for admission into Full-time Ph. D courses in various Departments/Subjects of Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa and YSR College of Engineering, Proddatur for the academic year 2015-16.

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES :
I. GENERAL :
1. Directorate of Admissions (DOA) invites applications for admission into Research Programme leading to Ph. D. (Full Time) in the different disciplines offered by Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa including Y. S. R. College of Engineering, Proddatur for the academic year 2015-16.

2. The admissions are governed by the rules and regulations of YVURESCET-2015 as given below. The Central Admission Committee of YVURESCET-2015 reserves the right to change or modify the rules.

3. For getting admission, candidate should qualify YVURESCET-2015 and satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed for the concerned discipline.

4. Students those who have qualified CSIR-JRF (NET) and UGC-JRF (NET) with valid time only are exempted from appearing YVURESCET-2015. However they have to apply in response to the notification.

5. No candidate is entitled to pursue more than one full time course at a time. If admitted in Ph. D., no candidate can undertake any other assignment or employment, or study any other course simultaneously with the exception of evening part time courses offered by the University.

6. The University reserves the right to offer or not to offer a Ph. D program in particular subject.

7. Qualifying in the YVURESCET-2015 does not guarantee the admission. The candidate must satisfy all the eligibility criteria prescribed for the course.

8. If it is proved that any of the certificates submitted by a candidate is found to be false or tampered with fake, the candidate not only looses seat but also liable for prosecution.

9. Notwithstanding anything in this booklet, the rules and regulations that are in force in the University from time to time are applicable.

10. University reserves the right to modify Courses/Seats/Fees and the same will be made available in the website yvudoa.in and yogivemanauniversity.ac.in.

ELIGIBILITY FOR WRITING THE ENTRANCE TEST :
1. Candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent letter grade in the concerned subject. However, a relaxation of 5% is allowed for SC/ST/PH candidates.

2. Candidates who have passed the qualifying PG examinations in the academic year 2014-15 or earlier are only eligible to apply. Supplementary candidates if any of the academic year 2014-15 are not eligible.

3. For Ph. D. programme in Engineering, a candidate should have passed Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology with First class either at Under-Graduate level or at Post-Graduate level.

IV. HOW TO APPLY :
Candidate has to submit an online application by paying the prescribed fee of Rs. 500/- by following the instructions given in www.yvudoa.in website. A candidate desirous to apply for more than one course is instructed to submit separate application through online for each subject. The copy of the filled-in application with necessary certificates should be submitted either in person or sent by Registered Post on or before 25-09-2015 at 500 pm to the following address

PARTICULARS OF ENTRANCE TESTS :
1. YVURESCET-2015 will be conducted in the premises of Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa only.

2. Prescribed syllabus for each subject can be downloaded from the yvudoa.in website.

3. Each entrance test will be of 90 minutes duration with 100 multiple choices type questions covering all the units mentioned in the syllabus. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative mark for wrong answer.

4. The question papers for all tests will be in English while test in Telugu will be in the respective language.

5. No candidate will be permitted into the examination hall without proper hall ticket.

6. Calculators, books, papers, mathematical and physical tables, slide rules, pagers, electronic organizers, digital diaries, cellular phones or any other calculating aids are not allowed into the examination hall.

7. Candidate should answer only on the OMR SHEET provided to him/her.

8. There is no provision for REVALUATION or PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION of answer sheet.

VII. QUALIFYING MARKS IN THE ENTRANCE TEST :
The candidate should secure a minimum of 40 marks in YVURESCET – 2015. However, in the case of SC/ST and PH category candidates the minimum shall be 35 marks.
