School of Engineering Offer of Admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) Program ADMISSIONS OF 2015
Please find below the selection status of candidates for Admission to Shiv Nadar University Undergraduate Programs in School of Engineering. The details with respect to admissions are outlined below along with the list of those selected.
You will receive a formal Offer of Admission on your Registered Email ID by Monday, 29th June 2015. That email will provide you detailed steps that you need to take to complete your admission including the link to the Pre-registration and fees payment system.
You will need to ensure payment of first instalment of fees by 4 PM on Friday, July 3, 2015 after which the unfilled seats will be allocated to the next set of candidates. Extension of time period to make the payment of fees will not be possible.
This Offer of Admission and scholarship is provisional subject to verification of the documents and information provided by you during Admission Process when you join the University. In case of any discrepancy, the Offer of Admission and/or scholarship is liable to be rescinded. For IB candidates or those who have applied using predicted grades, the admission is subject to their final scores being above the eligibility criteria defined.
Fees details :
The fees to be paid for each scholarship category is given in the below table. Please refer to the Scholarship Category awarded from the selected candidates list to know the amount payable by you.
The scholarship is valid for eight semesters of the program subject to you fulfilling minimum academic standards as given by the University. In case of extension of program due to any reason, you will have to pay all charges applicable for the extended period or for the semester(s) your performance is below the scholarship retention criteria. Please go through Undergraduate Student Handbook given on SNU.edu.in for details.
Use of mess and laundry services from the University authorized resident vendor is mandatory for all resident students. These charges are collected by the University at the beginning of every semester and paid to the vendor as a pass through. These charges may vary from year to year based on inflation and the decisions of the relevant student body and Dean-Student Welfare.
Payment of Fees :
The following options of payment are available to you. Please login to the Pre-registration application (sent by Monday, 29th June 2015) with your Email ID and Password. After acceptance of the offer you can make the payment of fees using the following four modes by 4 PM on Friday, July 3, 2015:
A. Online payment: Using this option, payment can be made directly through net-banking/ credit/ debit card
B. Deposit to HDFC Bank:
** Download the Challan form
** Visit your nearest HDFC bank branch with Demand Draft/ Cash for full amount
** Upload scanned copies of Bank Transaction Confirmation
C. Deposit Via RTGS/NEFT (Any Bank)
** Download The NEFT/RTGS Challan form
** Visit your own bank branch and give them transfer instructions through challan
** Upload scanned copies of Bank Transaction Confirmation
D. Demand Draft by Courier – You can courier the DD (full amount through a Single Demand Draft) and upload the scanned copies of DD and courier receipt, with your Applicant ID, Name and Program written at the back. Please ensure the Demand Draft is:
** In favor of Shiv Nadar University
** Payable at Noida/Delhi at par and of the exact amount
** Is sent to Shiv Nadar University, Finance Office, Block E, Lower Ground Floor, NH 91, Tehsil Dadri. Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh – 201314, India
Approximate time of payment realization:
** Online payment: 4 hours
** Deposit to HDFC: 48 hours
** Courier: Only on actual receipt of DD through courier (Please ensure sufficient courier lead time for DD to reach SNU)
Please note: After the payment is received by SNU, you will receive a confirmation email that “Make payment” step is completed. Post confirmation other Pre-Registration steps will be enabled for you to proceed.
Stream Reallocation :
Some candidates have not been allocated the stream of their choice. The seat allocation will be redone to accommodate such cases against seats that remain vacant due to selected candidates not joining, based on the program preferences given in the Application Form. This will be done only for the candidates who have paid the fees for the stream allocated to them. No separate request for such reallocation is required. Any change to the Preferences declared in the Application Form is NOT possible at this stage.
Refund Policy :
If for some reason you wish to withdraw from the University after completing the admission requirements, you will be entitled to get the refund of fees as per UGC guidelines detailed below. The request for such withdrawal has to be made ONLY through the withdrawal link on the Pre-registration application for security reasons. A request sent in any other form will not be valid:
A. Request for withdrawal received before 19th July 2015 (i.e. Date of the commencement of Academic Session): A deduction of ? 1,000 as processing charges will be made from the fees paid and the entire balance fees paid, including Security Deposit will be refunded.
B. Request for withdrawal received between 19th July 2015 – 18th August 2015 (i.e. cut-off date for the closure of Admission): The fees will be refunded to you after proportionate deductions of Admission Fees, Tuition & Special Fees and Hostel Fees by the University. It amounts to ? 1,000 as processing charges and an additional ? 1,829 per day for B.Tech. programs and ? 1,357 per day for B.A. (Research)/B.Sc. (Research) programs until the receipt of withdrawal request OR the day the student vacates the hostel, whichever is later. The University shall also refund the entire security deposit paid by you.
C. Request for withdrawal received after 18th August 2015: The entire fees paid by you will be forfeited. Only the Security Deposit will be refunded.
All the refunds for withdrawals will be processed by 31st August 2015 or one month from the date of withdrawal whichever is later, after due reconciliation.
The University reserves the right to withdraw this offer of admission at any stage in case any information provided by you in your application is found to be incorrect.
When is the result of SNU? Is it worth studying there? Did any scope for chemical engineering? His or her school marks is also considered during admission. On what basis scholarship is allotted for students?
My son was in waiting list no 52. He is very much interested in snu. My problem is how far can I wait with out joining any other institutions? He is very confident.
