B.Ed. Entrance Test at various centres will be held on Saturday, 20th June, 2015 from 10:00 am-1:00 pm
METHOD OF SELECTION : ENTRANCE TEST
All admissions to the B.Ed. Programme 2015 will be made through an Entrance Test. The written Entrance Test will be of three hours duration. It will consist of three Sections A, B, and C of Multiple Choice Questions. Section A will have questions based on understanding and application of concepts in Science, Social Sciences and Mathematics up to secondary level. This section will also have questions to assess candidates’ general awareness of political, economic issues, social, environmental and other similar issues. Section B will have questions to assess reasoning and problem solving ability; basic numerical understanding to analyze and interpret data, and other such thinking based applicative questions. Section C is the Language Proficiency Test that will assess comprehension ability in both English and Hindi.
Scheme of Written Entrance Test :

C Language Proficiency (Hindi and English) Multiple-Choice Hindi and English 30
Total Marks 150
PROCEDURE FOR SELECTION :
A. Preparation of Merit lists based on Entrance Test Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance test depending on their rank in the merit list of their respective category and subject category. A list of candidates selected will be prepared strictly in order of merit, based on their performance in the Entrance Test and their preference of institutions during Counseling. In case of a tie, the candidate older in age shall rank higher.
B. Allotment of Candidates to different Institutions :
The Committee will organize Counseling on the prescribed dates of an admission cycle. This counseling will be organized in the Department of Education based on the merit lists prepared separately for each subject category and reserved category. Candidates will be called upon merit-wise to make choice of Institution as per the vacancy available.
Male candidates will have only two institutions as Choice of Institution (CIE & MVCE), whereas Female candidate can choose any institution, depending on availability of vacancy.
