Application Procedure :
1. Application form is available at nims.edu.in from 10-06-2015 to 20-06-2015.
2. A candidate must submit hard copy of the application form.
3. The application form may be downloaded and filled appropriately. Please note that all the columns in the application form require to be filled in. Incomplete application forms are liable to be rejected.
4. A candidate can apply for only one subject. Once chosen, a candidate is not allowed to choose another subject under any circumstances
5. A demand draft may be obtained for Rs.2,000/- (Rupees two thousand only) in favour of the Director, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, payable at Hyderabad or by paying Rs.2,000/- in NIMS cash counter in person towards application fee. The candidates must write his/her name and course applied for on the back side of the DD/NIMS cash receipt. Application fee is non-refundable even if the application is summarily rejected. The demand draft or NIMS cash receipt shall be dated between 10-06-2015 to 20-06-2015.
6. The filled-in Application form will have to be printed and signed. The hard copy of the filled-in application form with all necessary documents (Annexure I) and the DD/NIMS cash receipt shall be submitted in person or sent by post to the Associate Dean, Aptitude Testing, 2nd floor, Old OPD Block, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Punjagutta, Hyderabad -500 082, Telangana on or before 5.00 PM on 20-06-2015.
7. The filled in applications received after the prescribed date and time shall not be considered. The Institute will not be responsible for non-receipt of applications or delay in postal transit.
8. An acknowledgement along with registration number will be sent to the respective candidate by e-mail after the application is processed.
9. The in-service candidates must be sponsored by their parent department. Applications should be forwarded by the appointing authority. The in-service candidates are required to submit Service Certificate and No Objection Certificate in original from the appointing authority at the time of submission of application as per prescribed format at annexure II.
10. Hand written and incomplete applications are not accepted.
Admission :
1. All those candidates who are selected for admission have to pay the fee as specified below and submit the original certificates as per annexure V on the date and time specified. Failure to submit the required certificates or pay the fee shall render the candidate forfeit his/her seat and the seat shall be allotted to the next candidate in the merit list. The candidates joining the course have to submit the bond at the time of admission as per the format enclosed to the prospectus at Annexure-III that they shall complete the course failing which the conditions of the bond shall be invoked. The sureties on the bond should be not below the rank of Gazetted Officers. The signature of the surety should be supported by seal/rubber stamp.
After admissions, if any candidate discontinues the course at any time or is relieved on his/her request for any reason the fees paid will not be refunded. In addition he/she has to pay a penalty as indicated below:
(a) A candidate who discontinues the course during admission period i.e. from 1st August, 2015 to 30th September, 2015 will have to pay a penalty of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh only), and stipend received if any. A candidate, who discontinues the course after closure of admissions i.e. on or after 30th September, 2015 shall have to pay a penalty of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees five lakhs only) and the stipend received if any.
(b) After closure of admissions, a candidate can seek his/her original certificates on fulfilling the following conditions:
Deposit or furnish a bank guarantee in favour of the institute for Rs.1, 00,000/- (Rupees one lakh only) in addition to stipend to be received for the remaining period of course from the date of seeking the certificates.
3. In all matters relating to selections and admissions, the decision of the Institute shall be final and binding on the candidates and selection cannot be questioned after admissions are closed.
4. For candidates who are pursuing studies and who cannot deposit the original certificates at the time of admission have to bring Xerox copies of the original certificates duly attested by the controlling authorities of the institution. They shall also produce a certificate from the institution that they have no objection to the candidate’s admission to the post graduate degree course and in the event of selection of the candidate to the course he/she shall be relieved immediately. Failure to submit the above certificates shall render the candidates being ineligible for admission
5. All candidates who are employees in the States of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh, Central Government under taking, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi-public Institutions should submit their applications along with No Objection Certificate from the appointing authority as per pro-forma prescribed in annexure II . The selected candidates should submit relieving order along with original certificates, fee and bond at the time of admission failing which he/she forfeits the right to admission and the seat shall be offered to the next candidate in the merit list.
6. No individual correspondence will be made for selection/admission and in any matter. Candidates are requested to follow the instructions/information stated in prospectus at website nims.edu.in as per the scheduled programme mentioned in prospectus.
7. Institute is not responsible for any unforeseen events preventing the candidate from reaching the examination hall/counselling/admission and the candidate will be considered absent under such circumstances.
8. Any attempt on the part of the candidate to influence directly or indirectly by any means will be treated as disqualification.
