RIPANS Common Entrance Test

RIPANS Common Entrance Test (RCET-2024) shall be conducted to fill up the vacant seats in various courses of the Institute i.e B.Sc.(Nursing), B.Pharm, Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science(BMLS), Bachelor in Optometry (B.Optom), Bachelor in Medical Radio Imaging Technology (BMRIT) for admission in the Academic Session 2024-2025. Last Date for submission of application is 26th September 2024.

Eligibility of RCET

i) Passed HSSLC (Sc)/10+2 Science having 50% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English for general candidate, 45% for SC/ST candidates.
ii) For admission to B.Pharm course, candidate with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with aggregate as mentioned above can also apply in addition to Biology group.
iii) Students already admitted to RIPANS shall not be allowed to appear for the RCET.

Fees of RIPANS Common Entrance Test

i) Application fee – 300/-
ii) Admission Fee – Payable at par with State nominees for successful candidates of RCET as given in the prospectus of RIPANS. (Fee structure of various UG courses available in the website)

How to Apply for RCET?

Interested person may visit RIPANS, Aizawl, Mizoram official website www.ripans.ac.in for more information and filling up of the application. Incomplete application will be automatically rejected without any further information. Those who are already admitted in a particular program of the Institute are not allowed to appear for RCET-2024.

Instruction for Application:
i) Candidates who wish to appear RCET-2024 should visit Institute website ripans.ac.in and Application Form should be submitted online during 18th-26th September, 2024, 12 noon. List of eligible candidates shall be displayed on 27th September, 2024 at 6:00 pm.
ii) Application with false information or incomplete filling of data will be rejected.
iii) Any query/clarifications in case if arise may be sent to admission[AT]ripans.ac.in.
iv) All communication / Notification to candidates shall be given through Institute website only. Candidates are informed to check the Institute website regularly.

Pattern of RCET Examination

i) Questions will be set from the syllabus of HSSLC Sciences (Class XII) as prescribed by the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) with the mark distribution as below:
a) Physics 20 marks
b) Chemistry 20 marks
c) Biology/ Mathematics 20 marks
d) English 20 marks
e) General Knowledge 20 marks
Total : 100 marks

ii) Duration of examination – 1½ Hour (90 minutes)
iii) The question pattern is multiple choice carrying one mark each. There is no negative marking.
iv) Mathematics in lieu of Biology can be selected by those who opt for B.Pharm program only.
v) Examination will be conducted on 3rd October, 2024 at 10:30 AM. The merit list will be declared on the same day and will be available on the Institute website ripans.ac.in.
vi) Any candidate found with misconduct/ proxy during examination will be expelled from the Examination Hall.
vii) If two or more candidates score the same marks in RCET, percentage of marks in HSSLC shall be counted for merit.
viii) Exam shall be conducted offline in the Institute campus. Candidates are expected to reach the campus by 9:30 AM.
ix) Candidate must bring a printout copy of their admit card sent to their email.
x) Arrangement of Examination Hall will be displayed in front of the administrative Block.
xi) No candidate will be allowed to enter Examination Hall after 10 minutes of starting the examination.
xii) Candidates are informed to check the Institute website regularly for any updates of information. Information shall be given through the Institute website only.

Sample question:
** Each question has 4 choices for its answer : (A), (B), (C) and (D). Only one of them is correct/most correct/appropriate answer.
** Write the answer number on the appropriate places given below each question. Write only one appropriate answer by using Pen.
** Each answer carry one mark and there is no negative marking.
