Admission to MCh (Neuro – Surgery) :
MCh (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery)
Through PGS – AIET – 2015
Day, Date & Time of Entrance Test : Thursday,16th July 2015 (11.00 am to 1.30 pm)
Date of availability of application forms : From 4th June 2015
Last date of submission of application forms : 10th July 2015
Form fee : – Rs. 1000/-
PGS – AIET 2014 Entrance Test Fees : – Rs. 2000/-
Examination Center – PGS – AIET – 2015 – Karad

Eligibility Criteria: M.S (General Surgery) or its equivalent from a recognized medical college
Duly filled application should be submitted at the University Office in person or by registered post.

Application form:
(a) Can be downloaded from the website and submitted along with a DD of Rs 3000/- (b) From University office or (c) By post / Courier by sending a DD of Rs.1100 /-
(All DD should be drawn, in favor of “Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University” payable at Karad.)

Warning: This University has neither authorized any person nor agency to admit the student on behalf of the university. Those who are doing so are doing on their own and University shall not be responsible for such illegal activities.

ELIGIBILITY:
A candidate will be eligible for PGS – AIET – 2015 and for selection/admission to a course in Superspeciality if the candidate fulfills following conditions
1 The candidate must be an Indian national.

2 The candidate must possess recognized post graduate degree MS or its equivalent from a medical college recognized by MCI. Candidates who have appeared MS or its equivalent are also eligible to submit application forms. However, they will be considered for selection, on production of passing certificate of post graduation degree on the date of preference form filling and counseling.

3 A permanent MCI/Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC)/any other state council registration is a precondition for appearing for PGS – AIET – 2015.

4 The minimum percentage of marks secured by the candidates in the PGS – AIET – 2015 for the purpose of eligibility for admission to Superspeciality courses shall be 50% for all the candidates.

5 A candidate who has already acquired a Superspeciality degree course in any one discipline and who has already completed the course is not eligible to apply for any other discipline.

6 Candidate who is presently under going Superspeciality course in one discipline is not eligible to apply for any other discipline.

7. The prerequisite qualifications for MCh (Neuro – surgery & Plastic Surgery) courses is MS General Surgery or its equivalent.

8. The candidate must be medically fit

9. The candidate having other state’s Medical Council registration should register with Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) / MCI after selection and joining to Superspeciality course and its proof should be submitted within a period of one month

PREPARATION OF MERIT LIST :
The Merit list shall be prepared on the basis of descending order of marks obtained at PGS-AIET 2015.

BASIS OF SELECTION :
The provisional selection for the course will be done on the basis of inter – se merit in the entrance test.

TIE-BREAKERS :
In case of equal marks at PGS – AIET – 2015 the following procedure shall be adopted for deciding inter-se merit :
First Level : A candidate with lesser number of attempts at MS examination shall be preferred. If the tie still persists, then

Second Level: The candidate having more marks in MS or equivalent examination will be preferred. If the tie still persists then.

Third Level : The candidate Passing with higher percentage of marks(excluding grace marks) of final MBBS examination shall be preferred. If the tie still persists then,

Fourth Level : An older candidate shall be preferred over a younger candidate.

The candidates must produce all required original certificates at the time of Counseling and at the time of admission. A set of attested photocopy of each of the document should be submitted, as per the list given below.

Documents :
(i) Admit Card.
(iii) Nationality Certificate
(iv) SSC passing certificate / Valid Passport
(v) First, Second and Third M.B.B.S, mark sheets (Part- I & Part – II wherever applicable)
(vi) Attempt Certificates of All MBBS examinations from the head of the institution. (First, Second, Third [Part-I, Part-II] MBBS)
(vii) MS or its equivalent Examination Marksheet / Grade Certificate
(viii) Attempt certificate of MS or its equivalent from the head of the institution.
(ix) Registration Certificate (MCI / MMC / Other State Medical Council)
(x) Certificate from Head of Institute showing that the Medical College / Institute from which the candidate has passed Post Graduate examination is recognized by Medical Council of India and the course is recognized by MCI.
(xi) Medical Fitness Certificate
