Tamil Nadu Health PG Courses in Yoga & Naturopathy

Application for admission to Post Graduate Courses in Yoga & Naturopathy 2024-2025 session in Government Yoga & Naturopathy Medical College, Chennai, and International Institute of Yoga & Naturopathy Medical Sciences, Chengalpattu can be downloaded from the official website tnhealth.tn.gov.in. Also, Candidates are advised to read the prospectus carefully before filling the application form. No correspondence / request for reconsideration will be entertained. Last date for submission of filled in application form is 05.08.2024 before 5.30 PM.

Eligibility For Admission PG Courses in Yoga & Naturopathy

a) A Pass in BNYS Regular Degree course conducted by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University / any other University recognized by UGC under regular stream or a pass in N.D.(Osm) under regular stream.

b) Should have successfully completed the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) and should have registered their names with the Tamil Nadu Board of Indian Medicine, Chennai-106 well before the Day of Entrance Examination for Admission to M.D. (Y & N) Courses for 2024-2025 session.

** Candidate should be a Citizen of India and a Native of Tamil Nadu or should have undergone B.N.Y.S Degree course in the State of Tamil Nadu.

** Candidates of Tamil Nadu nativity who have completed the B.N.Y.S / N. D (Osm) Course in other States shall furnish a Nativity certificate of having his / her nativity in Tamil Nadu issued by the competent authority only in the Annexure I format prescribed along with the Application and should also produce the Eligibility Certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G. R. Medical university, Chennai before counselling or before attending the counselling.

Not Eligible :
** Candidates who join a Post Graduate Degree in any branch and discontinue the course on any grounds after the cutoff date fixed by the Affiliating University are not eligible to apply for two subsequent academic years.
** Candidates who have completed a Post Graduate Degree or the candidates who possess a Post Graduate Degree in one Specialty / Branch of study are Not Eligible to apply for admission to any other Post Graduate degree i.e., in any other branches.
** Degree / Diploma in Yoga / Naturopathy obtained in distant mode / correspondence are not eligible. 3 years course in Naturopathy are also not eligible.

Application Fee of Admission PG Courses in Yoga & Naturopathy

** The candidates who are selected at the time of counselling shall remit a non-refundable sum of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) by CASH / Demand Draft only.

** After the receipt of the joining report from the Principal of the Government Yoga & Naturopathy Medical College, Chennai and International Institute of Yoga & Naturopathy Medical Sciences, Chengalpattu this amount will be transferred to the Colleges to get adjusted with the Tuition Fees to be paid by the candidates.

General Instructions of Admission PG Courses in Yoga & Naturopathy

1. Before filling up of the downloaded Application Form, read all the instructions given in Prospectus and fill the Application Form in one’s own hand writing without overwriting legibly, neatly and correctly. Application with incomplete or insufficient particulars or without enclosures or those received after the last date mentioned will be summarily rejected.

2. Self attested photocopies of the required documents alone should be sent. The originals should be produced only at the time of Counselling and Admission.
3. Applications received by Speed Post / Courier or any other means after the last date and time will not be accepted, irrespective of the date of booking.
4. Non-service candidates should send their applications directly to the Secretary, Selection Committee, Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Chennai – 600 106.

5. Service candidates should forward their Application only through the proper channel with the remarks of the forwarding authorities in the format prescribed in the application form to the Secretary, Selection Committee, Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy.

** It should compulsorily reach on or before the last date as mentioned above. If not, applications will be summarily rejected irrespective of the date of submission by the applicant and date of forwarding by the competent authority. Advance copies from the service candidates will not be accepted.

6. A self-attested recent passport size photograph should be affixed in the front page of the application form in the space provided. One recent passport size photograph in the identification-cum-attendance card and two recent passport size photographs in the hall tickets should be affixed in the space provided.

7. If a candidate desires an immediate acknowledgement, he/she should advise the postal or courier service and pay the required fee themselves.

** On assigning Application Register number (A.R. No.) for all the applicants, a list of prima facie eligible candidates will be uploaded in our website tnhealth.tn.gov.in along with the corresponding Application Register Number (A.R. No.), which will invariably be the Entrance Exam Number also.

8. All information pertaining to MD (Yoga & Naturopathy) admission will be notified in the official website tnhealth.tn.gov.in from time to time. Candidates are advised to check / visit the website minimum twice daily for entrance exam result.

** PG Merit List, the Counselling Schedule any further information / intimations, etc., The selection Committee will not be held responsible, if any candidate failed to appear in the Entrance Examination, Counselling etc., No individual correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
