Sri Ramachandra Ph.D Entrance Examination

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to Ph.D. program offered by this Deemed University. Candidates applying for admission to Ph.D. program should have qualified with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in PG program. Candidates who qualify in Sri Ramachandra Ph.D. Entrance Examination (written test and interview) shall complete the Ph.D. Program Full-Time on campus with stipend for 3 years. Last Date for submission of 30th July 2024.

Admission Procedure of Ph.D Entrance Exam

Admission through Online Entrance Examination and Interview:
1) Full-Time: Candidates applying for Ph.D. Program
a. Founder-Chancellor Shri. N.P.V.Ramasamy Udayar Research Stipendiary Fellowship
b. Self-Funded (Non-Stipendiary)
c. NET – Ph.D. Selected
2) Part-Time: Candidates applying for Ph.D. Program (Internal, External & Internal Independent) those who are eligible as per admission process, timeline and prospectus for Ph.D. program October 2024 session
3) PH.D. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION AND INTERVIEW WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLINE.

Eligibility Criteria of Ph.D Entrance Examination

Candidates applying for admission to Ph.D. program should have qualified with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade) in PG program.

Faculty of Dental Sciences :
a) A candidate who has passed Master’s Degree in Dental Surgery (MDS) examination in different branches/specialities with at least 55% marks in aggregate in PG Program.
b) BDS candidates within two years of completing their Degree, passing all BDS examinations in the first attempt with 60% or more aggregate marks from an Institute which is recognized by the Dental Council of India and holding ICMR Nurturing Clinical Scientists (NCS) Scheme Fellowship.

Faculty of Pharmacy :
A candidate who has passed a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm.) Examination in various branches/specialities/Pharm.D with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in the UGC 7-point scale or any equivalent grade in PG Program.

Faculty of Nursing :
a) A candidate who has passed M.Phil.(Nursing) or Master’s Degree in Nursing (M.Sc. Nursing) Degree Examination in different branches/specialities from a University which is recognized by UGC and Indian Nursing Council with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in the UGC 7-point scale or any equivalent grade in PG Program.

b) The candidate must have a minimum of one year teaching or Clinical experience after M.Sc. (Nursing) for enrolment in Ph.D. in Nursing.

Faculty of Physiotherapy :
A candidate who has passed Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (M.P.T.) Examination in different branches/specialities (orthopaedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary sciences and women’s health) with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in the UGC 7-point scale or any equivalent grade in PG Program.

How to Apply for Ph.D Entrance Exam?

Instructions for Filing Up Online Application Form For Ph.D. Online Entrance Examination :
1. All mandatory columns in the online application form must be filled. All the required particulars should be furnished without any omission. Otherwise the applicant will run the risk of his / her application being rejected.
2. Any overwriting or correction in the original certificates of the applicant should have been duly attested by the authorities concerned.
3. Acceptance of the application for entrance examination does not guarantee admission to Ph.D. program.
4. The last date of submission of Online Application Form is 30.07.2024 (Tuesday) and the self-attested scanned copies.
5. Hall Ticket and instructions for Online Entrance Examination will be emailed to the candidates.
6. Call Letter for attending the Online Counseling will be emailed to the candidates.
7. Payment of Application Fee for Indian Candidates:
Fee for Online Application form for Ph.D. Online Entrance Examination, Interview and Counselling (Non Refundable) is INR 2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only) through Online transfer.
8. Payment of Application Fee for Foreign National / NRI Candidates:
Fee for Online Application form for Ph.D. Online Entrance Examination, Interview and Counselling (Non Refundable) is US$ 51.00, payable in equivalent INR 4,000/- (Rupees Four Thousand Only) through Online transfer.

Please keep the following documents ready for uploading in the Online Application Form:
NOTE: Please upload only the clear scanned copy of the above documents in PDF format. Documents taken as a photo in JPEG, PNG, GIF formats will not be accepted and the application with the incorrect formats may be rejected.

a. Passport Size Photograph – upload recent Passport Size Photograph with Blue background with the file size not exceeding 10MB in JPEG, PNG format only. Selfie is not accepted.
b. Digital Signature – to upload your Digital signature with the file size not exceeding 10MB in JPEG, PNG format only
c. KYC document – to upload the scanned copy of Aadhar Card / Passport / Driving License with the file size not exceeding 10MB in JPEG, PNG format only.
d. Community Certificate (if applicable) – to upload the Self-attested scanned copy of the Community Certificate for SC / ST / OBC,BC,MBC in PDF format.
e. Bonafide Certificate – to upload the Self-attested scanned copy of the Bonafide Certificate in PDF format.
f. UG Degree Certificate – to upload the Self-attested scanned copy of the UG Degree Certificate in PDF format.
g. PG Mark Statements, PG Provisional Degree Certificate, PG Degree Certificate – to upload the Self-attested scanned copies of the PG Mark Statements, PG Provisional Degree Certificate / PG Degree Certificate in PDF format.
h. For the Category, Full-Time (UGC-NET / CSIR / ICMR Integrated / DBT / DST / NET-JRF / AICTE- GATE / AYUSH / INSPIRE Fellowships) – to upload the Self-attested scanned copy of the Award of Fellowship Letter in PDF format.
i. For the Category, Part-Time (Internal) and Part-Time (External) – to upload the Self- attested scanned copy of the Service Certificate from the Head of the Institution from where the candidate is employed in PDF format.

j. For the Category, Part-Time (Internal) and Part-Time (External) – to upload the Self- attested scanned copy of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer stating that they have no objection for you to join the Ph.D. program in Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University), Porur, Chennai – 600 116 in PDF format.

k. For the Category, Part-Time (External) those whoever working in educational institution – to upload the Self-attested photocopy of the documentary proof that the institution has been offering the PG program in the concerned branch of study for a minimum period of three (3) years on the date of application in PDF format.
