IIMB DBE Entrance Test

IIMB DBE Entrance Test 2024 is conducted by Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. BBA_DBE is a 3-year bachelors programme offered by IIM Bangalore. It is a fully online, asynchronous programme covering the foundations of business management with an orientation towards digital business and entrepreneurship. Last date for submission of Application Form is 15th July, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria of IIMB DBE Entrance Test

10th or equivalent :
Pass certificate of any recognized class 10 Board

12th or Equivalent :
** A minimum of 60 % marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in recognized board exams for general category & NC-OBC & EWS category candidates
** 55% marks or equivalent CGPA for SC, ST & PwD (>= 40% disability) candidates
** Currently open to Indian Nationals only

** The application fee has to be paid at the time of application and is non-refundable. Please note that mere fulfilment of the minimum eligibility criteria will not guarantee admission to the BBA (DBE) programme.

Application Guidelines of IIMB DBE Entrance Test

Step 1: Registration
Access Registration Page: Visit the registration page.
Create an Account: Enter your details to create an account.
Receive Credentials: Note down your registration ID and password, which will be sent to your registered email/SMS.

Step 2: Fee Payment
Access Payment Link: Reach out to the payment link on our website.
Payment Details: Make the payment as per the details provided in your application form. Ensure to enter your application number.
Screenshot Requirement: Take a screenshot of the payment confirmation, which is required for your application.
Payment Information: Enter UTR, Bank name, and Branch details.
Upload Receipt: Upload the Application Payment Receipt in the document upload section.

Note: Do not proceed to Step 3 without completing Step 1 and Step 2. Payment details are required to complete the application process.

Step 3: Application Form
Login: Use your registration ID and password to log in.
Fill in the Application Form: Carefully complete all sections of the application form with accurate details.
Upload Required Documents: Make sure to upload all the necessary documents as specified in the application form.
Review Your Information: Before submitting, review all the entered details to ensure they are correct.

The following documents are mandatory in the application form, wherever applicable:
1. Government-issued photo and address identity card with validity
2. Valid certificates for SC/ST/NC-OBC/EWS/PwD categories applicants. No change in category will be entertained after the application has been submitted.
3. Pass certificate and marks sheet of recognized class 10 Board or equivalent.
4. Pass certificate and marks sheet of recognized class 12 Board or equivalent.
In addition to the above list of documents, the Admissions Office may seek other relevant documents at their discretion.

Selection Process of IIMB DBE Entrance Test

** Candidates who fulfil the basic eligibility criteria will be informed to appear for the IIMB DBE Entrance Test 2024, conducted at designated centres across India. It will be a Computer-Based Test.
** Please note that candidates will be selected for the programme only on the basis of their performance in the test.
** Based on the category-wise selection cut-off in the IIMB DBE Entrance Test 2024, decided by the Admissions Office, only the shortlisted candidates shall be informed to register for the programme by paying the required programme fee.

What are the opportunities that open up upon completing the BBA DBE programme?

In the 3 years course of this programme, you will gain the expertise in the foundational concepts of business management and entrepreneurship.

Will I be able to start my own venture/business after completing this programme?
The programme is indeed designed to equip you with the requisite skills and knowledge to be able to prepare and plan your own business.

How long will it take to complete the online degree?
Once admitted, you have a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 6 years to complete the bachelors programme.

What are the technological requirements for pursuing this programme?
You will need a computer, web cam, a stable Internet connection, a web browser, and access to common tools and software like word processors, MS suite, email, etc. You can also watch the videos on certain mobile phones.
For taking the proctored exams, you will require a computer or laptop with a web cam and steady internet connection.
End Term exams will be in centres across the country.

Will I be issued an ID card?
All registered students shall be issued suitable credentials of identification for access to digital resources and for any Exam facilities.

What is the frequency of intake to the programme?
There will be only one intake batch this year.

When will the applications open for this year?
The application link will be active from 15th June 2024 10AM Onwards.

Will I receive an IIMB alumni tag after successful completion of the programme?
Yes. All the BBA-DBE degree holders will be awarded IIMB alumni status.

Will I have access to the IIMB campus facilities after enrolling?
No. This is a completely online programme. Learners will not have access to the IIMB campus.

What are the placement opportunities provided by IIMB after the programme?
Placement services are not provided. However, IIMB will create a digital platform for recruiters and degree holders to network and explore opportunities. IIM will also promote the programme through various means for the industry to create awareness.

Is this an IPM programme offered by IIMB?
No. This is not an IPM programme.
