University of Allahabad PGAT

The University of Allahabad is going to conduct Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT) for the academic session 2024-25. The maximum marks for all the courses in PGAT 2024-25 will be 300 consisting of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. The applicants will be able to register through Website. Last Date for submission of Application Form is 5th June 2024.

Courses Offered for Post Graduate Admission Test

PGAT 2024-25 will be conducted for the following PG courses:
PGAT- (32 courses, along with LL.B., M.Com. and LL.M.), and PGAT-II (24 courses including B.Ed., M.Ed., MBA (RD) & MBA) in addition to the professional courses (M.C.A., M.Sc. Food Tech., M.Voc. Media Studies and P.G.D.C.A.) offered by Institute of Professional Studies (IPS). The applicants are advised to go through the university website for detailed information about the courses.

Pattern of Post Graduate Admission Test

** The Pattern and mode of Entrance Test will be same as the preceding year. The Entrance Test for PGAT-I, LL.B., M.Com. and LL.M. will be conducted in both online and offline mode. The Entrance Test for PGAT-ll and IPS courses will be conducted in online mode only.

** The Entrance test will be conducted at different centres in following cities:
ONLINE & OFFLINE (both): Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh and NewDelhi.
ONLINE only: Bhopal, Kolkata, Patna and Thiruvanthpuram

** The maximum marks for all the courses in PGAT 2024-25 will be 300 consisting of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
** The applicants shall be able to download the admit card one week prior to the Entrance Test.
** Without valid admit card and original ID Proof, no candidate will be allowed to enter in the test centre in any condition.
** The applicants will not be allowed to appear in the examination other than allotted examination centers, in any case.
** Use of mobile phone, calculator, gadgets, other electronic devices, any written or printed papers are prohibited and it will be treated as unfair means.

Important Dates of PGAT

The online registration for PGAT 2024-25 will start from 16th May 2024.
The last date for registration and final submission of application form will be 5th June 2024.
The proposed date for the Entrance Examination will be in the 3rd week of June 2024 and the results may be declared by 1st week of July 2024. The counselling for admission for different courses may start from the 3rd week of July 2024.
