TNJFU UG Admission

UG Admission 2024-25 is conducted by TNJFU Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University. Candidates should have passed in the Higher Secondary Course in 10+2 pattern examination. All candidates should upload necessary documents / certificates and submit applications only through online. Selection process is done through online and/or offline counselling only on merit basis. Last Date for submission of Online Application is 06th June 2024.

Eligibility For UG Admission

** Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu State alone are eligible to apply {except for B.F.Sc. [ICAR quota] and B. Tech. (Biotechnology) & B.B.A. (Fisheries Enterprises Management) [Other State quota]}.

** Tamil Nadu candidates who have not studied VIII to XII standards in Tamil Nadu should produce the Certificate of Permanent Residence in Tamil Nadu in the prescribed proforma (Certificate I) issued by the competent authorities. Candidates possessing community certificate issued by Government of Tamil Nadu need not submit Certificate I.

** A pass in the Higher Secondary Course in 10+2 pattern (State Board / CBSE / any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto) examination and fulfilling the following requirements are eligible.
Category Minimum qualifying marks
** Open Competition (OC) 55% for all the four required subjects
** Backward Class (BC) Backward Class Muslim (BCM) 50% for all the four required subjects
** Most Backward Class and Denotified Communities (MBC & DNC) 45% for all the four required subjects
** Scheduled Caste (SC/SCA) A Pass in qualifying examination with four required subjects
** Scheduled Tribe (ST) A Pass in qualifying examination with four required subjects

Age Limit :
Candidates applying for the above said courses (except B.Voc.) should not have completed the age mentioned below as on 01-07-2024.
SC/SCA/ST Candidates : No age limit
Other candidates : 21years
Differently abled : 26years
Note: There is no age limit to the candidates applying for 3 year B.Voc degree courses.

Mode of Selection for UG Admission

The candidate has to fill their choice of degree course and college at the time of filling their application. Selection process is done through online and/or offline counselling only on merit basis. Calling for in-person counselling does not guarantee a seat. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their Aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (HSC).

Determination of the inter se merit :
In cases where more than one student has got the same aggregate marks in the general rank list, the inter se merit among such students shall be determined in the order of priority as specified below (G.O. (Ms.) No.191 (AP.6) Department dated 16.05.2007):
** Marks out of 50 in Mathematics. If a student has not studied Mathematics, marks out of 50 in Biology or (Botany + Zoology)
** Marks out of 50 in Physics
** Marks out of 50 in Chemistry
** Date of Birth – Eldest first
** Random Number

Submission Of Application for UG Admission

All candidates should upload necessary documents / certificates and submit applications only through online https://tnagfi.ucanapply.com on or before 06.06.2024. Application fee has to be paid only through online.

1. Enter the details of your Name, Date of Birth, Mobile No, Email id and Create password for your registration.
2. Enter the captcha which you see in the display and fill it in the captcha box.
3. Click on Sign up Option.

1. In Registration Details, check all the details before confirm.
2. Click CONFIRM Button.

1. After Registration is done, activate your account through OTP sent to your mobile or by your registered email id. using your username and password.
2. Click SUBMIT.
** Click on MY Application Icon
** Make a tick in the box and click the “Proceed to Application” icon.
** Click on the Applicant Detail and enter all your Basic details.
** Enter all your details
** Furnish the required Data
** Enter your Address and Click Save & Proceed
** Provide your School details
** Enter your marks
** Provide Sports details if Applied
** Prioritize your Colleges and Courses option
** Save your Colleges and Courses Preference & proceed

1. Upload the required documents.
2. Click on save and proceed.
** Kindly verify all the data entered by you before submitting the Application.
** Once it is submitted no modifications can be done.
** Click on the submit button.
