NTA SHRESHTA (NETS)

The government has approved a new scheme named SHRESHTA (Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas) for the purpose of providing seats for the meritorious SC boys and girls in the best private residential schools in the country. Every year, it is expected that about (3000) students would be selected for admission in Class 9 and Class 11 under the scheme.

Objective of SHRESHTA (NETS)

The objective of the Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas (SHRESHTA) is as follows:
1. To enhance the reach of the development initiative of the government.
2. To fill the gap in service-deprived Scheduled Castes (SCs) dominant areas in the sector of education by collaborating with voluntary organizations.
3. To provide an environment for socio-economic upliftment and overall development of the Scheduled Castes (SCs).
4. To provide access to high-quality education to bright Scheduled Caste (SC) students so that they can explore future opportunities.

Online Submission of Application Form 12th March 2024 to 04th April 2024
Correction Window 06th April 2024 to 08th April 2024
Downloading of Admit Cards from NTA website 12th May 2024
Date of Examination 24th May 2024
Timing of Examination 02.00 PM to 05.00 PM (3 Hours Paper)
Duration of Examination 03 Hours (180 minutes)
Declaration of Result With in 04 to 06 weeks after exam

How to Apply for SHRESHTA (NETS)?

** Candidates can apply for SHRESHTA (NETS) 2024 through the “Online” mode only. ** The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted.
** Submission of Application Form could be made by the candidate online through the NTA website: https://exams.nta.ac.in/SHRESHTA/ , http://shreshta.ntaonline.in/

Instructions for filling Online Application Form:
** Download Information Bulletin. Read these carefully to ensure your eligibility.

Follow the steps given below to Apply Online:
Step 1: Registration Form:
Register for the Online Application Form and note down the system-generated Application Number. The candidate should supply the required details while filling the Online Application Form and is also required to create PASSWORD and choose Security Question and enter his/her Answer.

After successful submission of the personal details, an Application number will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and will also be required for all future reference/correspondence.

Step 2: Application Form:
The Candidates can log in with the system-generated Application Number and pre- created Password for completing the Application Form including filling up of personal details, applying for the Class, choosing the Examination Cities, providing the details of Educational Qualifications.

Step 3: Upload Scanned Images of following:
Upload the scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size.
i. The recent photograph should be either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.
ii. Scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible).
iii. Scanned Category Certificate/Undertaking should be in PDF format (clearly legible).
iv. Scanned Income Certificate should be in PDF format (clearly legible).
v. The size of the scanned photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb (clearly legible).
vi. The size of the scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb (clearly legible)
vii. The size of the scanned Category Certificate/Undertaking should be between 50 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible).
viii. The size of the scanned Category Certificate/Undertaking should be between 50 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible).
