Sandip University Design Aptitude Test
Sandip University – School of Design is one of the premier design institutes in India which offers the Undergraduate Programs in Design. Design Aptitude Test (SU DAT), an essential part of the selection procedure for any design aspirant. This includes an Online Exam and a Portfolio Evaluation.The Online Exam evaluates theoretical as well as the logical aptitude, while the Portfolio Evaluation tests the creative abilities of the aspirant. Based on this, SOD accepts a select number of students purely on merit. 10+2 pass/appearing (Any Stream) or 3 Years Diploma (Equivalent to 10 +2), with a minimum 40% aggregate score from any recognized higher secondary school board/ Institute. Eligibility Criteria of SU-DAT Design Aptitude Test
** 10+2 pass/appearing (Any Stream) or 3 Years Diploma (Equivalent to 10 +2), with a minimum 40% aggregate score from any recognized higher secondary school board/ Institute.
** Must be appeared in SU – DAT or any other Design Entrance Exam of National level (NIFT , NID , etc)

Phase II:- Online Entrance exam schedule on 21th April 2024
Exam Duration: 2 Hrs
Mandatory Online Test, which evaluates the candidate’s logical reasoning, creative thinking and visual aptitude.

** SU DAT 2024 online exam is smartly protected by AI enabled electronic proctoring mechanism.
** Candidates must note that SU DAT is an AI proctored examinations.
** All activities are monitored throughout the test duration, by electronic proctoring mechanism.
** Features such as Face tracking, Face recognition, Object detection and Noise detection are enabled in this examination.
** Any unfair means at any stage of the entrance exam will be captured by the AI proctoring and the same will lead to disqualification of the candidate from the examination.
Phase 2:- Portfolio Evaluation takes place after the written exam minimum score passed. This will be offline in campus.
** In Portfolio Evaluation (PE)- 60 Marks
** Candidates should focus on what is their uniqueness/individuality of their work and present it in an interesting way. They should showcase their ability to take inspiration from the surroundings, understanding of aesthetics, sensibilities and awareness of current trends.
** A portfolio is generally a Collection – collages – cut outs – improvised / refined in a documented or non-documented form (any format Physical or Digital), composition of their Creative work – Illustrations – compiled or practiced over last few years, with their explorations and reflections.
** Portfolio may consist of candidates – Unrefined, developmental work, Wide range of ideas and media, Experimentation, showing their creative journey – sketchbooks.
** Candidates are allowed to also showcase their Digital compositions / Digital Portfolio, Physical Models and prototypes
