GAT GITAM Admission Test

GAT-2024 GITAM Admission Test for the academic year 2024-25 is conducted by Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management. GAT Application is for admission into UG & PG Programs of Architecture, Engineering, Humanities, Law, Management, Nursing, Paramedical, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Sciences offered at GITAM Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru campuses.

Eligibility of GAT GITAM Admission Test

B.Tech. programs :
A minimum of 60% or 6.0 CGPA (55% incase of CBSE and ICSE) aggregate marks in Intermediate or 10+2 examination from a recognized central / state board (except open schools) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects and Quailified in GAT UG (Engineering) 2024.

B.Tech. in Biotechnology :
A minimum of 60% or 6.0 CGPA (55% incase of CBSE and ICSE) aggregate marks in Intermediate or 10+2 examination from a recognized central / state board (except open schools) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics / Biology subjects and Quailified in GAT UG(Engineering) 2024.

Minimum Marks %: 60 (55% incase of CBSE and ICSE)
Board: Recognized boards (except open schools)
Subjects to Study: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology

Instructions For Filling Online Application of GAT GITAM Admission Test

** Log on to https://apply.gitam.edu to access the applicants portal.
** Click on the “Register” button and it will open the registration page. On this page, applicant need to fill in the basic personal information, as well as any other details that are required.
** Fields marked with an asterisk “*” are mandatory and must be filled by the applicant.
** There are clear instructions for each field, so please read them carefully before filling out the form.

Applicant Current Education details :
** This section asks for applicant current education details, including the current field of study, the name of your school, the subjects he/ she is studying, the campus interested in, the year of completion of graduation / +2, the list of eligible disciplines, and eligible programs.

** After entering the details, click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page. Then click the “Next” button to proceed to the next page and move on to program selection section.

Program selection details :
** This section displays the eligible programs based on the group selected by the applicant in their current education section. On this page, applicant need to select the programs he / she interested in.
** In a tabular format, there will be a display of the “Application no”, “Program name”, “Amount”, “Application Status”, and “Delete” option for each program applied for.
** Applicant should review the details entered on the page and select the preferred exam state, city and exam date before proceed to pay the application fee.
** Please note that, after payment of application fee, you can not change or delete the programs selected.
** Applicant can click “Previous” button at any time to go back and make changes if any by deleting the selected programs.

Personal details :
This section requires applicants to fill in their personal details, including:
** Gender
** Date of birth
** Aadhar no.
** Mother tongue
** Category
** Nationality
** Country of permanent residence
** Parent details

Additionally, applicants must upload a passport-size photograph that meets the below requirements:
** Formal passport size
** JPEG/JPG format
** Dimensions not larger than 35 mm X 45 mm
** File size not larger than 1 MB

** Applicant can click “Previous” button at any time to go back and make changes if any.

** After filling of personal details applicant will be redirected to an “Application Print” page where a print copy of the application form is available for download / print for the record. If the payment is unsuccessful, you will be redirected to a “Program selection” page where you can retry payment.

FAQ on GAT GITAM Admission Test

I am expecting to get around 90% marks in +2. Will I get any scholarship?
No, but you can still get a scholarship based on your performance in GAT or other competitive tests as mentioned in the framework of the scholarship of GITAM; for details, visit the Scholarships Page.

How to appear for the admission or entrance test?
The mode of test for GAT will be Online (Center based). Please refer to https://gat.gitam.edu. Select the desired course, click on Online test instructions for more information related to the test mode, syllabus, instructions, and Demo for the home test.

What is the test duration of GAT?
The test duration varies depending on the degree and courses chosen. Please refer to https://gat.gitam.edu. Select the respective course; click on Eligibility and test Pattern to understand the pattern of the test.

Is there any negative scoring for GAT?
There is no negative scoring.

What is the medium of instruction?
The medium of instruction is English.

Can a student appear for an exam more than once?
One student can appear only once for each course and only for one phase. GITAM will not provide Re-appearing students with credentials by considering it an unfair practice of duplicate application, which will be filtered at several stages of our admissions process, starting with using the registered email twice to many other parameters.

Is it a co-educational institution?
Yes, it is a co-educational institute, open to boys and girls.
