What Is VITEEE Entrance Exam?

Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in VIT group of Institutions. VITEEE will be conducted between 15 and 21 April 2023 (Tentative) at designated centres across India and abroad.Applicants whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2001 are eligible to apply for Engineering admission 2023. The Last Date to apply for VITEEE Entrance Exam is March 31, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria For VITEEE Entrance Exam

VITEEE Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria :
Nationality :
** The applicant should be a Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / PIO / OCI.
** NRI applicants can directly apply under ‘NRI Category’ through NRI application form. (Will be available shortly)
** Foreign applicants who studied/studying abroad can apply directly through the International application form.(Will be available shortly)

Age Limit :
** Applicants whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2001 are eligible to apply for Engineering admission 2023.
** The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic.
** Applicants should produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counseling/admission, failing which their candidacy for admission will be disqualified.

Qualifying Examination :
Applicants applying for UG Engineering admission should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2023, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:
** The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE),New Delhi.
** Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
** High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. (Physics & Mathematics – HL, Chemistry – SL)
** General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
** Regular ‘NIOS’ board candidates are also eligible for Undergraduate Engineering programmes. Applicants should produce the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining.

How To Apply For VITEEE Entrance Exam?

To Apply For VITEEE Entrance Exam follow the below steps,
Steps :
Step-1 : Go to the above link
Step-2 : New user registration
Valid e-mail address and active mobile number are required.
Enter all the relevant details carefully.
An OTP will be sent to your Registered Indian Mobile Number for verification.
Once OTP is validated, a password will be sent to your registered email address.
All the correspondence shall be made to the registered email address and mobile number only.

Step-3 : Sign in for registered users
Login with the registered email address and the password received from VIT.

Step-4 : Filling online application form
Fill in the relevant fields carefully. An Application Number will be generated after filling primary details.
Refer this application number in all your future correspondence.

Step-5 : Payment
Application cost of Rs.1350 should be paid through Net Banking Account/ Credit/ Debit Card/ Paytm
For Abroad test centre : Equivalent to USD 90 in INR
Application cost is non-refundable

Step-6 : Photo & signature upload
After payment, softcopy of your photo and signature should be uploaded.
Scanned files (.jpg format) of your photo (3.5 cm width x 4.5 cm height; 10-200 kB size) and signature (3.5 cm width x 1.5 cm height; 10-200 kB size)

Step-7 : Download fillrd-in application form
Download and save the filled-in application for your reference and further correspondence.
Applicants NEED NOT SEND hard copy of the filled-in Application Form to VIT.

VITEEE Entrance Exam Selection Criteria

** Selection is based on the rank secured through CBT (Computer Based Test) VITEEE 2023.
** Selected candidates can participate in online counseling based on their ranking. They can give options for specific campus, programme and category of fees. Allotment will be based on the matching of the rank obtained and available options.
** Candidates with rank upto 1 Lakh are eligible for counselling to Vellore and Chennai campus.
** VIT will verify the eligibility of candidates after completing the tuition fee payment on or before the stipulated date. Candidates are required to produce documents on the day of coming to the campus or as and when asked for, by the Office of Admissions. Provisional Admission offered during counselling will be valid ONLY if the eligibility is fulfilled.
** In case of situation wherein the eligibility criteria is not applicable, the decision of the VIT will be final.
