What Is NEIGRIHMS PG (MD/MS) Admission ?

North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong, Meghalaya is an Autonomous Institute. PG (MD/MS) Course NEIGRIHMS will not conduct examination to fill up the seats available for open Northeast (NE) category including the seats reserved for the students passing MBBS from NEIGRIHMS only. The Last Date to apply for NEIGRIHMS PG (MD/MS) Admission is 27th September, 2022.

Eligibility Criteria For NEIGRIHMS PG (MD/MS) Admission

Candidates satisfying the following requirements for NEIGRIHMS PG (MD/MS) Admission 2022
** Nationality: Applicant must be a Resident Indian National

** Permanent Resident/Domicile of one of the 8 (eight) North-eastern states of India including Sikkim to be eligible for Northeast open category seats.

** Bonafide student of NEIGRIHMS (irrespective of domicile status) to be eligible for admission in to the seats reserved for the students passing MBBS from NEIGRIHMS.

** Educational: The candidates must possess MBBS Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India and must have completed the compulsory Rotating one year Internship training on or before 30th April 2022. Candidates who are likely to be completed Internship after 30th April, 2022 will not be eligible for admission.

** Every student, selected for admission to post graduate course shall possess recognised MBBS degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent Registration with the Medical Council of India, or any of the State Medical Councils or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

** Candidates who have MBBS or equivalent from foreign countries will have to produce the proof of passing the qualifying examinations held by Medical Council of India (MCI) and also their registration with MCI. However he/she must complete one year Internship training on or before 30th April 2022.

** The candidates who have already done/are pursuing MD/MS degree in any subject at the time of counselling shall not be considered for admission to MD/MS courses at NEIGRIHMS, if it is found at a later stage that the candidate has given false undertaking at the time of counselling, his/her candidature/registration shall be cancelled forthwith.

How To Apply For NEIGRIHMS PG (MD/MS) Admission?

To apply for NEIGRIHMS PG (MD/MS) Admission follow the below steps,
Steps :
Step-1 : A candidate seeking admission is required to download the prescribed offline Application Form available along with the Prospectus at www.neigrihms.gov.in.

Step-2 : Duly filled up application forms can placed in an envelope (SUPERSCRIBING “Application for PG (MD/MS) Course”) be dropped in at the Box placed outside the Examination Cell, Director’s Block, NEIGRIHMS on or before 27th September, 2022 addressed to “Examination Cell, NEIGRIHMS, Director’s Block, P.O. – Mawdiangdiang, Shillong – 793018”.

Step-3 : Forms can also be sent by Post {SUPERSCRIBING “Application for PG (MD/MS)”} addressed to “Examination Cell, NEIGRIHMS, Director’s Block, P.O. – Mawdiangdiang, Shillong – 793018” and should reach by 27th September, 2022 before 5:00 PM.

Step-4 : The Application fee is Rs.1500/-(non-refundable) plus charges as applicable to be deposited by the challan available along with the Prospectus in the NEIGRIHMS website.

Step-5 : It will be the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that correct address, email address and mobile number is entered in the Application Form.

Procedure Of Payment NEIGRIHMS PG (MD/MS) Admission

** The prescribed amount of Application processing Fee, i.e. Rs. 1500/- (One Thousand five hundred only) plus charges as applicable should be deposited through offline mode by Challan only (Available in the NEIGRIHMS website).
** Candidates are advised to retain the candidate’s copy of Challan as the proof for payment of Fee.
