INTRODUCTION:
** The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) Chennai was established as an autonomous Institute by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in the year 1964 to improve the quality of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system in India and in the Southern Region in particular.

** Within this mandate, the institute takes initiatives to offer need based Human Resource Development programmes through appropriate modes and develop curricula and instructional resources.

** It also fosters research in the inter disciplinary area of Engineering Education and offers consultancy and extension services for the total development of Engineering Colleges, Polytechnic Colleges, Vocational institutions, Industry, Service sector and the Community at large.

** The Institute plans to offer the Master of Technology (Human Resource Development) [M.Tech. (HRD)] as a long-term programme in 2015 – 2017. M.Tech. (HRD) degree programme will be affiliated to the University of Madras.

** Eight batches have been completed.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION :
Candidates holding a Degree in Engineering / Technology of any University recognized by the Syndicate of University of Madras as equivalent thereto.

SPONSORSHIP :
Engineering College and Polytechnic teachers with B.E. / B.Tech. qualifications working in the Southern Region are eligible to be sponsored by their respective Directorate of Technical Education.

SCREENING OF APPLICATIONS :
** All applicants need not be called for the written test.
** The screening committee may fix additional/stiffer criteria and may restrict the candidates to be called for the written test.

SELECTION PROCESS:
The following are the criteria for selection :
i. Marks obtained in the B.E./B.Tech. (II year to Final year) – 60%
ii. Aptitude Test – 40%

** The written test comprises of 100 objective test items and one or two structured questions to assess the aptitude, entry behaviour, career goal, likely contribution, etc.
** The rank order will be prepared based on merit.
** The statutory provisions (as per Govt. of India regulation) for reservation of seats will be available to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and Persons With Disabilities.

CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION:
** Applicants for M.Tech. (HRD) should submit original B.E. / B.Tech. Degree certificate, Mark Sheets, Transfer Certificate, Community and Conduct Certificate at the time of admission.

** The Qualifying Examination passed by the applicant, should be the one, recognized by University of Madras.

** At the time of admission, the candidates should pay the amount as prescribed by the Affiliating University towards Recognition, Registration and other charges prescribed by them.

** The candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from other Universities shall obtain the eligibility certificate from the University of Madras and submit the same to the

** Institute at the time of admission to the programme of study.

** Candidates are to contact the University Information Centre (Enquiry Office) /ERC Section of the University of Madras to obtain the eligibility certificate

GENERAL INFORMATION :
The candidates are governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Institute in force from time to time, which should be strictly adhered to.

The candidates are expected to maintain highest professional ethics set by the Institute / University / Government of India.

** Issue of Application forms – 15.05.2015
** Last date for receipt of completed application forms – 12.06.2015 (5 pm)
** Entrance Test at NITTTR, Chennai – 03.07.2015
** Course Commencement – 01.08.2015

APPLICATION PROCEDURE :
** Application form along with the prospectus can be downloaded from our website.
** An application fee of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST) payable through Demand Draft from Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of “The Director, NITTTR, Chennai” payable at Chennai should be enclosed with the Application form.
** Application forms without DD will be summarily rejected.
** Do not Enclose Original certificates.

Completed Application forms in the prescribed form with attested copies of all mark sheets, certificates and other required enclosures should be sent to

NOTE TO THE CANDIDATES :
Enclose all attested copies of certificates from SSLC, +2, B.E./B.Tech. or Equivalent, provisional pass certificate or degree, mark sheet, conduct certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied, transfer certificate, social status in case of SC / ST / BC / OBC / MBC and certificate from the designated medical authorities for the physically challenged persons.

The Institute is located about one kilometer away from Dr. Dharmambal Government Polytechnic College for Women, Taramani and next to the TIDEL Software Park and opposite to Thiruvanmiyur MRTS Station at Taramani, Chennai – 600 113.
