West Bengal e-Counseling-2015

UG Medical Counseling :
The Health & Family Welfare Department, Government Of West Bengal has been vested with the responsibility of maintaining and developing the health care system in West Bengal. Public health, sanitation and hospitals are the exclusive responsibilities of the State. State provides financial and managerial support for the basic health care support and infrastructural facilities at the rural level, while the State level super specialty Medical Colleges & Hospitals predominantly provides the ambulatory care services. About 80% of the Government health care services to the citizens are being provided free of cost. The Vision of the department is to provide affordable, accessible, sustainable, high quality essential health care for all in 5 years. Special focus on the poor, mother child and elderly, and those living in underserved areas. Development and maintenance of standards of service in hospitals and health care facilities are the foremost priorities.

Counseling Process:
a. Online Challan Generation & offline Payment of Counseling Fees
b. Main Counseling Registration
c. Exercising of Choices and Locking of choices
d. Process of Seat Allotment – Round 1
e. Round 1 Result Publication
f. Reporting for admission at the allotted Medical College against 1st Round
g. Process of Seat Allotment -Round 2
h. Round 2 Result Publication
i. Reporting for admission at the allotted Medical Colleges against Round 2
j. Publication of net vacant seats
k. Fresh Choice Submission by all eligible candidates for round 3
l. Process of Seat Allotment – Round 3
m. Round 3 Result Publication
n. Reporting for admission at the Medical Colleges /Institutions against Round 3

PG Medical Counseling :
From 2003 WBUHS took up the responsibility of undergraduate, postgraduate and post-doctoral courses including the Ph. D. programme in Modern System of Medicine, Homoeopathic System of Medicine, Ayurvedic System of Medicine, Unani System of Medicine, Nursing Education, Pharmacy Education, Dental Education, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy and Education on other paramedical courses like Occupational Therapy and Prosthetics-Orthotics in the state of West Bengal. The Post Graduate Counseling will start w.e.f. 27th March 2015.

Counseling Process:
a. Payment of Counseling Fees
b. Main Counseling Registration
c. Exercising of Choices and Locking of choices
d. Process of Seat Allotment – Round 1
e. Round 1 Result Publication
f. Reporting at the allotted Medical/Dental College against 1st Round
g. Process of Seat Allotment -Round 2
h. Round 2 Result Publication
i. Reporting at the allotted Medical/Dental Colleges against Round 2
j. Publication of net vacant seats
k. Fresh Choice Submission by all eligible candidates for round 3
l. Process of Seat Allotment – Round 3
m. Round 3 Result Publication
n. Reporting at the Medical/Dental Colleges /Institutions against Round 3

  1. I CAN GET 94 IN WBJEE(MEDICAL)-2016. CAN I GET CHANCE TO BE ADMITTED IN ANY GOVT.COLLEGE IN WEST BENGAL?

    1. No. Because you didn’t get cut off marks for SC ST OBC 100 and general category 125 marks.

  2. When net vacant seat will be published of ug medical in WB?

  6. I want to know how many seats are in the pg medical?
