BVP NLC LL.B Entrance Exam

Subject to clearance of eligibility criteria prescribed by Bar Council of India in its Regulation, 2008 and University norms, a candidate who has qualified in LL.B. Entrance Test by securing minimum 50% marks in the LL.B. Entrance Test can seek admission in the respective course of his choice in the order of merit and subject to intake capacity.

No candidate will be entertained for admission even if he satisfies the above condition, if he fails to attend the counseling on the prescribed date notified in the schedule on the website from time to time.

Eligibility

As prescribed by Bar Council of India, Rules of Legal Education 2008, the applicant shall have passed the Bachelor’s Degree in any of the faculties of any recognized university or an examination recognized as equivalent there to and have obtained 45% of the total marks in case of general category and 40% of the total marks in case of SC & ST applicant.

The maximum age for seeking admission into stream of 3 years bachelor degree course in law is limited to 30 years in general category and in case of SC, ST and other backward class applicant it is limited to 35 years.

Filling of Entrance Examination Application Form

1. Application form shall be filled by the candidate in block letters with Black / Blue ball point pen.
2. The Candidate shall fill all the columns relevant and shall affix latest passport photograph.
3. D.D. of Rs.1200/- towards Entrance exam fee shall be drawn in favour of the Registrar B.V.D.U., Pune on any Nationalized Bank payable at Pune.
4. The D.D. shall be enclosed with the application form with name & address of candidate written on the backside of the D.D.
5. The attested Xerox copy of the qualified examination may be enclosed with the form (except for those candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination & whose results are awaited.)

Eligibility Documents

Admission of the candidate will be confirmed only if he /she produces the following documents in original and two photocopies of the same –
** Proof of date of Birth : SSC Certificate or School / College Leaving Certificate
** Statement of marks of Degree examination
** Caste Certificate in case of S.C. & S.T. students only
** Transfer Certificate from the Institution studied last.
** Migration Certificate from the University.
** Gap Certificate (If any Gap in learning).
** Four recent passport-size photographs with name written on the backside.

Interpretation & Decision Making Authority :
** Differences of opinion & disputes arising in the interpretation and implementation of Clauses in this brochure, if any, will be referred to the Vice-Chancellor of this University and his decision in this regard will be final.

Court Jurisdiction :
** Any Legal matter arising out of the admission procedure of the Law Course, through LL.B. Entrance Test 2016 of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune – 30, will be under the jurisdiction of Court at Pune Only.

Ragging :
** Ragging in any form is prohibited and is an offence governed by Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1999 and UGC Regulations 2009
** Ragging within or outside educational institution is prohibited and is an offence.
** Punishment for ragging is Imprisonment up to 2 years & / or fine up to Rs. 10,000/- convicted of offence of Ragging shall be dismissed from the college and will not be eligible for admission in any other educational institution for a period of 5years

Hostel accommodation :
** Limited Hostel accommodation is available on the campus both for boys and girls (10 seats for boys & 5 seats for girls). The same will be given on merit basis. The hostel fee once paid is not refundable.

Miscelleneous :
** After exhausting the list of students who have qualified the Entrance Test, if any seats are left out the same will be allotted to the other candidates who had appeared for Law Entrance Test in the order of Merit secured by them through subsequent counselling and spot admission.

** The Vice Chancellor shall be the competent authority to lay down the norms for admission in case of vacant Seats if any after exhausting the total list of merit students/ additional section accorded by BCI.
