Post Graduate Entrance Test :
Online Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appearing in the Dibrugarh University Post Graduate Entrance Test (DUPGET) 2017 for admission into the M.A., M.Sc., M.Com. and M.Tech. Programmes for the Academic Session 2017-2018.

Schedule of the DUPGET 2017 :
a) Online Application Process begins on : 15.06.2017

d) Online Application Process* (Second Phase) reactivates on : 16.07.2017

f) Notification of the Merit List of the Provisionally selected Candidates : by 26.07.2017
g) Completion of the Admission Process : by 31.07.2017
Guidelines For The DUPGET 2017 :
1. The DUPGET 2017 shall be conducted by the University for selection of eligible candidates for admission into the various Post Graduate (M.A., M.Sc., M.Com. M.Tech.) Programmes of the University for the session 2017-2018. The Teaching Departments/ Centres of Studies concerned shall conduct the DUPGET 2017 in the relevant subject.
The Head/ Chairperson of the concerned Departments/ Centres of Studies shall be the Chairperson of the DUPGET Board of the relevant subject and shall perform all confidential jobs upto the preparation of the Merit List of the candidates.
Overall, the conduct of the DUPGET 2017 shall be coordinated by the Deputy Registrar (Academic) with the guidance of the Dean of the School concerned
2. A candidate intending to appear in the DUPGET 2017 shall be required to fulfill minimum eligibility criteria for admission into the relevant Post Graduate Academic Programme. However, the result awaited candidates shall also be eligible to appear in the DUPGET 2017.
In that case, the candidate shall have to submit the details of his/ her Final Degree Examination result through the prescribed procedure within the stipulated date.
3. The Application procedure of the DUPGET 2017 including the Schedule shall be notified in the Detailed Notification for the DUPGET 2017.
4. The DUPGET 2017 shall be conducted in a single paper on the broad core areas of the relevant subject. It shall carry 100 Marks and the duration of the Test shall be of 2 (Two) Hours.
5. The pattern of the Question Paper of the DUPGET 2017 shall be as below-
i. Objective Type Multiple Choice = 25 Questions carrying 2 marks each.
ii. Descriptive Type= 5 questions carrying 10 marks each. There will be no negative marking for incorrect response.
6. The Faculty Members of the concerned Department/ Centres of Studies shall perform the duty of the Paper-setters, Moderators, Examiners and Tabulators.
7. There shall be no minimum marks for qualifying the DUPGET 2017. The concerned Department/ Centre of Studies shall prepare the Merit List of the Candidates for admission as per the following provision:
a) The University shall fill up the 80% of the total seats of each subject by the graduates of Dibrugarh University and 20% remaining seats shall be filled up by the students belonging to other Universities.
Appearing in the DUPGET 2017 is compulsory for all the candidates for consideration of admission under any statutory and non-statutory reservation quota.
b) Further, for preparation of the selection list of the candidates belonging to Dibrugarh University, 50% weightage will be given to the performance of the DUPGET 2017 and 50% on the merit of the last Degree Examination.
c) In case of candidates belonging to other Universities, selection shall be made exclusively on the basis of the performance of the DUPGET 2017. In that case, the University shall consider fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria only.
8. All candidates irrespective of reservation category or applying for seats under different statutory/ non-statutory quota, appearing DUPGET 2017 in the relevant subject is Mandatory.
9. The University may amend the Guidelines of the DUPGET 2017 as and when necessary without prior notification of such amendments.
Application Procedure :
a) Online Application process will be started from 15.06.2017. Application for admission to the various academic programmes shall be through online mode only. No other means of application shall be accepted.
The last date for submission of application is 30.06.2017 (upto 5.00 P.M).
b) For submission of the Online Application, intending candidates are advised to follow the following instructions:
1. The candidate shall be required to register in the portal dibru.online by entering Full Name, Username, Password and a Mobile Number to login. The candidate will get an “Activation Code” in the Mobile Number which is to be entered for Activation.
2. After Activation, the candidates shall be required to log in with his/ her user name and password and shall be required to fill up the Online Application with correct and appropriate information.
3. The applicants shall be required to pay the Application Fee of Rs. 500/- only through the online payment gateway by using Debit (ATM) Card/Credit Card/ Internet Banking during the submission of form. No other mode of payment is acceptable.
4. The applicants can save and review the information entered before submission, which can be edited on subsequent login. However, after Submission, editing of information shall not be possible.
5. On submission of the Online Application Form by an applicant, an Admit Card with a Unique Number shall be generated against each successful submission of the Application. The Candidates shall have to take a print out of the Admit Card and bring to the Examination Hall on the Date of the DUPGET 2017 for verification.
6. The Submission of Online Applications shall be automatically closed after the stipulated time.
7. No individual letter will be issued and sent to the candidates regarding any matters of the Admission process. Candidates are advised to visit the University website dibru.ac.in for any relevant information.
