Combined Entrance Examination :
An Entrance Examination CEE – 2017 (Combined Entrance Examination- 2017) will be held at the centers and as per notification by the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam for admission into the following Engineering Colleges and Engineering & Technical Courses.

(i) Assam Engineering College, Guwahati.
(ii) Jorhat Engineering College, Jorhat.
(iii) Jorhat Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat.
(iv) Bineswar Brahma Engineering College, Kokrajhar
(v) Barak Valley Engineering College, Karimganj.
(vi) Private Engineering Colleges and State Universities of Assam.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION :
To be eligible for Admission to any of the Colleges a candidate must fulfill the following conditions:-
(a) The Candidate must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent resident of Assam.
(b) For admission into B.E. Courses the candidate must pass the Qualifying Examination individually in the same sitting without any grace marks in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with a minimum of 50 % (45 % in case of SC and 40 % in case of ST) marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The same sitting means a candidate must appear all the four subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English together.
(c) The Candidate must appear in the Entrance Examination for admission (CEE – 2017).
(d) The Candidate must not above 21 years or below 17 years of age as on 1stAugust 2017. Upper age limit mentioned in (d) above is relaxed to 22 years in case of B.Sc. passed Candidates. Upper age limit mentioned in (d) above is relaxed by 3 years for Scheduled Cast and Scheduled Tribe candidates.
(e) The Candidate must possess a good moral character.
(f) The Candidate must be physically and mentally fit.
How to apply :

Before applying online, keep the following points in mind:
Applicants are required to apply only through Online mode, no other means/mode of submission of application form will be accepted.
The link to fill up online application form will remain active up to midnight of 05/05/2017. Applicants are advised to fill up the online application form well in advance, without waiting for the last date, to avoid the last minute hassle.
Please keep your ‘scanned photograph’ and ‘scanned signature’ ready with you in the following format :
Your recent scanned colored photograph(with blue/white background) only in .jpg format (file size should not exceed 100 KB)
Your scanned signature only in .jpg format. (file size should not exceed 100 KB)
Registration Process :
Step 1 – Click on “Click here to Apply” at the bottom of this page.
After clicking, the Application Form for Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) – 2017 will appear
Step 2 – Before filling up the Application Form, read all the eligibility criteria given in the Information Brochure (downloadable). Do not leave any mandatory fields blank. Fill the Application form properly, upload the photograph & signature and save the Application form by clicking the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 3 – Once the Application form is saved, your ‘Application Number’ will be generated. Note down the number and keep it securely for the next step and for future use.
Read the provided instructions carefully and click on “Next” to continue, the next step of the application process shall take you to the Payment Portal of State Bank Collect. Candidates will have to select “CEE-2017” as Payment Category to continue. Payments made in any other Payment Category shall not be considered.
You will be asked to enter your:
(i) Application number
(ii) Centre of Examination
(iii) Candidate Name
(iv) Contact number
(v) Date of Birth
Step 4 – Provide your details correctly as filled up in the online application and proceed to pay the application fee of Rs. 600/- (plus bank charges) from the payments options available :
(i) Online payments can be made by Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Cards.

(ii) Offline payments at any branch of State Bank of India, can also be opted by selecting the Pay at SBI Branch option and printing the generated Bank Challan. You may proceed for depositing the “Application Fee” with the generated Bank Challan at any Branch of “State Bank of India (SBI)”.
Step 7 – Retain/Printouts of the receipt generated by State Bank Collect, for future reference. The “State Bank Collect” step is the last step of the application and is required to be completed for successful application process.
No Appication (hard-copy) need to be physically submitted at the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam.
Candidates who have successfully completed the above steps can check their status at any time by using the Applicant Login area.
Payments made/received shall be reflected and updated in the applicant login after 4-5 days of payment.
How to logon to Applicant Page:
You can Log on to dteassam.in and click on Online Application for CEE 2017. In the next page, click on “Applicant Login” situated in the top Menu bar, an Applicant Login Screen will appear. Sign in your account using your ‘Application Number’ & your ‘Date of Birth’. to authenticate yourself.

Issue of Online Admit Card : 25-05-2017 onwards
