Admission to MBBS and BDS for General Category Academic Year 2016-17

Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pimpri, Pune was declared as “Deemed-to-be-University”, under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956 in 2003. The Vidyapeeth has been re-accredited in March 2015 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a CGPA of 3.62 in four point scale with ‘A’ Grade. The Vidyapeeth is also an ISO 9001 : 2008 Certified University.
As per the directives of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the Ordinances promulgated by the Central Government on 24.05.2016, admission to undergraduate courses in Medicine (MBBS) and Dentistry (BDS) for academic year 2016-17 in constituent colleges of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pimpri, Pune i.e. Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune and Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital, Pimpri, Pune will be done on the basis of All India Ranking and marks obtained in National Eligibility Cum Entrance (UG – NEET) 2016.

The candidate who desires to take admission in constituent colleges of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (Deemed University), Pimpri, Pune, need to apply to the Dean, Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune for MBBS course and to the Dean, Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital, Pimpri, Pune for BDS course along with All India Rank and percentile of marks obtained in NEET 2016.
The merit list of the candidates, who have applied to the constituent unit of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, will be prepared on the basis of All India rank obtained in NEET 2016. The selection will be done on the basis of merit of candidates reported for counseling.
MBBS : Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery BDS: Bachelor of Dental Surgery The respective Colleges are recognized by UGC (University Grants Commission) /MCI (Medical Council of India)/ DCI (Dental Council of India) for both Undergraduate and Post graduate courses.
Tuition Fee per Year
MBBS : Rs. 16,50,000/- (General Category)
BDS : Rs. 5,25,000/- (General Category)
All the fees should be paid by Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Dean of the respective Colleges.
