ELIGIBILITY:
Candidate should be a citizen of India.

NATIVITY:
i) Candidate should be a Native of Tamil Nadu
ii) Candidates who have studied VIII to XII standard in schools of Tamil Nadu need not enclose the “Nativity Certificate”.
iii) Candidates who are native of Tamil Nadu but studied from VIII to XII Std either partly or completely in schools situated outside Tamil Nadu should produce the “Nativity Certificate”.

iv) The Certificate of Nativity in Tamil Nadu should be issued by the competent authority only in the specified format available in the application form and supported by a copy of Passport/ Ration Card / Birth Certificate.If the copy of the supporting document is not produced, then the application form will be rejected. Nativity Certificate submitted later will be summarily rejected.

v) Applications without proper Nativity Certificate will not be considered.
vi) Permanent Residence Certificate will not be accepted.
vii) Candidates who are native of Tamil Nadu alone will be considered for communal reservations

AGE LIMIT – FOR B.Sc. (NURSING) COURSE:
Candidates should have completed 17 years of age and maximum age is 30 years as on 31st December 2016. For SC / SCA / ST candidates, maximum age is raised to 35 years. Evidence should be produced.

FOR ALL OTHER COURSES:
Should have completed the age of Seventeen years on or before 31st December 2016. Evidence should be produced

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
i) Candidates should have passed in all the subjects of the qualifying Examination of the Higher Secondary Course conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other equivalent Board in a single sitting in the following group of subjects with minimum eligible marks.

(a) Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. (or)
(b) Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics with any other subject.
A failure in examination/ reappearance/ first appearance in compartment in one or more subjects will be treated as an attempt.

Applications can be downloaded from the websites 1. tnhealth.org, 2. tn.gov.in. The filled in application along with necessary enclosures and two self addressed envelopes measuring 23 x 10 cms should be sent in a large sized cover measuring 36 cm X 28cm superscribed ‘APPLICATION FOR PARA-MEDICAL COURSES 2016–2017 SESSION’ addressed to “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education, Kilpauk, Chennai-10” before the last date along with a Demand Draft for 400/- which is non refundable towards the cost of application form drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai – 600 010” payable at Chennai.

Application without the Demand Draft will not be accepted. The name of the candidate and the name of the course (Paramedical Course) should be written on the reverse of the Demand Draft. SC/ SCA and ST candidates who are natives of Tamil Nadu are exempted from paying the cost of the Application Form.

Candidates seeking admission to Paramedical courses should submit the common application form with necessary enclosures which should reach:

Last date for receipt of the application : 05.08.2016 upto 5 pm
Expected date for declaration of Merit : 2nd week of August 2016
Allotment of seats by personal appearance : 3rd week of August 2016
Last date of admission : The date as mentioned in the allotment order of the candidate.
