Entrance Examination for Admission to PG Super Speciality Courses, Kerala – 2016 Results Published

The Provisional Rank lists of qualified General Quota and Service Quota candidates who have appeared for the Entrance Examination for admission to Post Graduate Super Speciality Courses 2016 conducted on 09.07.2016 & 10.07.2016 at Thiruvananthapuram are published herewith.
The Answer keys to the questions were published on 14.07.2016. A few complaints regarding the questions /keys have been received and the same have been examined by Expert Committee constituted for the purpose.
Based on the recommendations of the Committee, the Answer keys published on 14.07.2016 are revised as follows.
1. Medical Paper-I(MS) – Question Numbers 11 and 64 are deleted and Key of Qn. No. 26 changed as C, Qn. No. 68 changed as C
2. Surgical Paper-I(SS) – Question numbers 30 and 53 are deleted and Key of Qn. No. 1 changed as B, Qn. No. 14 changed as C, Qn. No. 25 changed as C, Qn. No. 31 changed as C, Qn. No. 33 changed as B, Qn. No. 49 changed as A and Qn. No. 64 changed as B,
3. Paediatric Surgery Paper-II (S-PS) – Qn. No. 49 is deleted and key of Qn. No.34 is changed as D.
4. Neuro Surgery Paper- II (S-NS) – Question Numbers 48 and 67 are deleted and Key of Qn. No. 72 changed as B and Qn. No. 75 changed as A.
5. Gastroenterology Paper-II (M-GE) – Key of Qn. No. 3 changed as A and Qn. No. 27 changed as B.
6. Gastroenterology Surgery Paper-II (S-GE) – Question Numbers 20, 22, 60, 69 and 78 are deleted and Key of Qn. No. 21 changed as A, Qn. No. 56 changed as C, Qn. No. 63 changed as A and Qn. No. 79 changed as A.
7. Genito Urinary Surgery Paper-II (S-GU) – Qn. Nos.27 is deleted and key of 4 is changed as A, Qn. No. 5 changed as C, Qn. No. 10 changed as D, Qn. No. 31 changed as C, Qn. No. 39 changed as B and Qn. No. 59 changed as B.
8. Cardiology Paper-II (M-CD) – Question Numbers 12, 21 and 76 are deleted and Key of Qn. No. 23 changed as A, Qn. No. 53 changed as D and Qn. No. 83 changed as B.
9. Neurology Paper-II (M-NU) – Question Numbers 43 and 67 are deleted and Key of Qn. No. 46 changed as D, Qn. No. 74 changed as C and Qn. No. 85 changed as D.
While preparing the rank lists, two questions in Medical Paper-I, two questions in Surgical Paper-I, one question in Paediatric Surgery Paper-II, two questions in Neurosurgery Paper-II, five questions in Gastroenterology Surgery Paper-II, one question in Genito Urinary Surgery Paper-II, three questions in Cardiology Paper-II and two questions in Neurology Paper-II have been deleted based on expert committee opinion sought with respect to the complaints raised by candidates regarding the questions/answer keys.
These questions have not been included for valuation and no marks have been awarded for these deleted questions to any candidate.
The total marks obtained for 88 questions have been multiplied by (90/88) in the case of Medical Paper-I, the total marks obtained for 88 questions have been multiplied by (90/88) in the case of Surgical Paper-I, the total marks obtained for 89 questions have been multiplied by (90/89) in the case of Paediatric Surgery Paper-II, the total marks obtained for 88 questions have been multiplied by (90/88) in the case of Neuro Surgery Paper- II, the total marks obtained for 85 questions have been multiplied by (90/85) in the case of Gastroenterology Surgery Paper-II, the total marks obtained for 89 questions have been multiplied by (90/89) in the case of Genito Urinary Surgery Paper-II, the total marks obtained for 87 questions have been multiplied by (90/87) in the case of Cardiology Paper-II and the total marks obtained for 88 questions have been multiplied by (90/88) in the case of Neurology Paper-II so on to get the actual marks (corrected to four decimals).
The above formulae are applied to award proportionate marks based on the score of the candidates in the questions considered for valuation (excluding deleted questions) to compensate the loss of marks for the deleted questions.
The Provisional Rank lists will be available for reference in this office and on the website cee-kerala.org. The result of some of the candidates have been withheld for want of required documents in the application submitted by them.
Inclusion of a candidate in the rank lists does not entitle him/her for admission to the courses, unless he/she satisfies the eligibility conditions contained in the Prospectus for admission to P G Super Speciality Courses-2016 approved by the Government of Kerala.
The Director of Medical Education will make allotment and admissions as per the conditions laid down in the Prospectus. The candidates are advised to keep a close watch on the official website dme.kerala.gov.in of the Director of Medical Education for further information regarding the allotment and admission to P G Super Speciality Courses-2016.
