PURVANCHAL UNIVERSITY COMBINED ADMISSION TEST (PUCAT-2015) :
Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University invites bright aspiring students to apply for admission to various professional postgraduate regular courses in the campus. COURSES OFFERED :
1. FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES :
1.1 Course in MBA: (4 semesters), graduate in any discipline with minimum 45% marks is eligible.
MBA, MBA (HRD), MBA (Finance & Control), MBA (Business Economics): 60 seats in each course, Admission through UPSEE, Fee Rs. 25,000/- per semester.
MBA (Agri-Business), MBA (E-Commerce): 30 seats in each course, Admission through UPSEE, Fee Rs. 25,000/- per semester.
1.2 Course in Masters in HRD (MHRD): 30 Seats, Admission through PUCAT-2015, Fee Rs.15,000/- per semester.

2. FACULTY OF APPLIED SOCIAL SCIENCES:
2.1 Courses in Social Science: (4 Semesters), graduate in any discipline with minimum 45% marks.
2.2 MA (Applied Psychology), MA (Mass Communication): 30 seats in each course, Admission through PUCAT-2015, Fee Rs. 10,000/- per semester.

3. FACULTY OF SCIENCE:
3.1 Course in M.Sc. (Biotechnology): (4 semesters), 20 seats, Admission through PUCAT-2015, graduate in bio group with minimum 50% marks is eligible. A candidate having a gap of more than two years is not allowed. Fee Rs. 25,000/-per semester.
3.2 Course in M.Sc. (Microbiology), M.Sc. (Biochemistry), M.Sc. (Environmental Science): (4 semesters), 20 seats in each course, Admission through PUCAT-2015graduate in science with minimum 50% marks is eligible, chemistry is essential at graduate level for admission in Biochemistry, Fee Rs. 17,500/- per semester.

4. FACULTY OF MEDICINE:
4.1 Course in B. Pharm (8 Semester/Four year), 10 +2 or Intermediate/Higher Secondary or equivalent examination with Science subjects (Biology and/or Mathematics) and minimum 45 % of marks in aggregate in PCM/PCB group.
Lateral Entry: Candidates who have passed D. Pharm in First Division from PCI recognized institution may apply for direct admission to 2nd year (III Semester) B. Pharm Course.
B. Pharm: 60 seats Admission through UPSEEE, Fee Rs. 60,000/- per annum

5. FACULTY OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY:
5.1 Courses in B. Tech.: (8 Semesters/Four year), 10+2/Intermediate/High Secondary or equivalent examination with Science Subjects (PCM Group) and minimum 45% of marks in aggregate.

B. Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences & Engineering, and Information Technology; 60 seats in each course, Admission through UPSEE, Fee Rs. 60,000/- per annum.

Lateral Entry: Candidates who have passed Polytechnic Diploma/B.Sc. in First Division from recognized institution may apply for direct admission to 2nd year (III Semester) of B. Tech Course. Admission through UPSEEE, Fee Rs. 60,000/- per annum.
5.2 Course in M.C.A.: (6 semesters), Graduate in any discipline with 45% in Mathematics at intermediate level/PGDCA/BCA, 60 seats, Admission through UPSEE, Fee Rs. 50,000/- per annum.

MODE OF ADMISSION
A. For the courses at serial 4 and 5.1., intake will be from UP State Entrance Examination (UPSEE-2015) only, in case seats lie vacant after UPSEE-2015 counseling, admission shall be made in B. Tech and B. Pharma courses by calling UPSEE-2015 qualified candidates.

B. For courses at serial Nos. 1.1 and 5.2, intake will be initially from UP State Entrance examination (UPSEE-2015) only, in case seats lie vacant after UPSEE-2015 counselling, admission shall be made through PUCAT-2015 conducted at the University Center for M.B.A. and M.C.A. courses.

C. For the courses at serial Nos. 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1 and 3.2, intake will be from PUCAT-2015 conducted at the University Center.

Reservation of Seats: Reservation of seats shall be as per the U.P. State Government/University norms. Relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying degree examination is provided for SC/ST candidates.

Duly filled Application Form along with self attested requisites must be received in the Office of the Chairman, Admission Cell (PUCAT-2015), Faculty of Engg. & Technology, V. B. S Purvanchal University Jaunpur-222003, U.P. on or before 26-5-15. Application can be sent by hand or through Regd. Post along with a Bank Draft of Rs. 200/- for GEN/OBC category (Rs. 150/- for SC/ST) drawn in favour of FINANCE OFFICER, V. B. S. PURVANCHAL UNIVERSITY JAUNPUR, payable at Jaunpur-222003.
