Admission to M.Sc Programme in most National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and some Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) will be through a process of Centralized Counselling (CCMN 2015) being organized by National Institute of Technology, Rourkela.

Admission will be on the basis of IIT-JAM score only.

However, Applications and Admissions for IISC/IITs does not have any link to the Application and Admission process for NITs.

All candidates wishing to take admission at NITs for any M. Sc Programmes should go through the Centralized Counselling procedure followed at CCMN 2015, organized by National Institute of Technology, Rourkela.

Registration Procedure :
Step 1: Click on “New Registration” under Students Corner in the left pane of the website.

Step 2: Fill in your JAM details carefully.

JAM Application Number
JAM Score
JAM Rank
JAM Year

Step 3: Fill in your Personal details carefully.
Full Name (UPPER CASE – as per 10th Class certificate)
DOB (DD/MM/YYYY)

Step 4: Provide your Mobile Number and E-mail id.

Alternate E-mail
Mobile No.

Step 5: Fill in your Eligibility detailscarefully.
Reservation Category
PH (Yes/No)
Degree completed (Yes/No)
If yes,
Qualifying Degree Name
Qualifying discipline
Percentage/CGPA
If CGPA, enter CGPA value and Scale Point value
If Percentage, enter Percentage value
If No, [Click on the “I Agree” of the Disclaimer message]

A confirmation will be sent to the registered e-mail address and mobile number.

Step 6: Login to your registered e-mail id and click on the verification link received from CCMN, which will verify and re-direct you to the Payment Page.

Step 7: Pay the ”Registration fee” through any of the desired payment methods:
Internet Banking
Debit card
Credit Card
NEFT

Once payment is successful, PID (Permanent Identifier) will be generated towards the confirmation of your registration.

PID with Password will be sent to the registered e-mail.

Once PID is generated, no more registration is allowed.

However you can register with the same “E-mail id” and “Mobile Number” for another unique “JAM Application Number” associated with another unique “JAM Paper Code”.

Step 8: Now Login using the “PID” and “Password” received through “Registered User” under Students Corner.

Step 9: Fill in your Demographic details carefully.

Step 10: Fill in your Academic details carefully.
10th Class Marks
12th Class Marks

Step 11: Fill in your Bank Details (For Refund) carefully.
Account Number

Step 12: Upload the required documents:
Original Colour version of JAM Score Card
Photograph (Check for the specifications given under the heading Photograph requirements)
Signature (Check for the specifications given under the heading Signature requirements)

Step 13: Preview the full application and verify all filled in details. Edit if required.

Step 14: After duly verifying all the details, “SUBMIT” the application form.

Step 15: Once, successfully submitted; your Application is partially complete and you will be redirected to “CHOICE FILLING”.

Step 16: Fill all your listed eligible choices in Order of Preference.

Step 17: Few Institutes require some special eligibility to be fulfilled. All those choices can be filled by confirming the special eligibility, if any by clicking “I Satisfy” button.

Step 18: You can add or remove any choice. You can add as many choices available to you.

Step 19: Preview the Full Application with filled in FINAL CHOICES and verify all filled in details and choices. Edit if required.

Step 20: Once you are sure of the choices filled in, you should click “LOCK” to confirm your application with the Final Choices.

Once “LOCKED”, you will not be able to edit the details and choices in the application form.

If you fail to LOCK the Choices, the system will AUTOMATICALLY LOCK your application on the last date (at 11:59 PM) with the existing choices you have filled in earlier.

Step 21: Print your application form with the choices. Sign the application form with choices for future reference and submission at the Admitting Institute.
