CENTAC – LE :

Admission for Government quota seats through Lateral Entry Scheme to the II year B.Tech., degree programmes in the colleges run by the societies of Government of Puducherry and Self – Financing colleges in the Union Territory of Puducherry is open to candidates who have passed Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects at degree level.

This admission is only for the residents of Union Territory of Puducherry.

Qualification for Admission :
A pass in the three years Diploma Course or four years sandwich Diploma Course in Engineering / Technology with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC candidates) in aggregate in the subjects covered in 3rd to 6th Semesters.

OR
A pass in any B.Sc Degree ( with Mathematics as one of the subjects at Degree Level) with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC candidates) in aggregate in subjects covered from first to last semesters except language subjects.

Age Limit :
No Age limit for the candidates applying for the LE (Direct Second Year) admission.

Application Procedure :

** Submission of application forms through online process only. The online lateral entry application forms for admission along with Information Bulletin 2016 -17 can be downloaded from CENTAC website: centaconline.in from 06/06/2016 onwards.

The last date for applying through online is 19/06/2016. A model of filled in on-line application is available for ready reference in the CENTAC website.

** Any other form of submission of application will not be entertained.
** Candidate should have scanned images of his/her latest Photograph (size of 20 kb to 25kb) in JPG format only, for uploading as part of submission of online application.

** WHILE FILLING THE APPLICATION ALL THE CANDIDATES MUST PROVIDE THEIR MOBILE NUMBER & SCANNED IMAGE OF COLOUR PHOTOGRAPH WHICH IS MANDATORY.

** The candidate is advised to read the Information Bulletin and Help Manual before starting online registration and ensure that no column is left blank. In the event of rejection of the application form, no correspondence/request for reconsideration will be entertained.

** Applications submitted through online shall be considered, only after receiving the print-out of online entry with necessary self-attested copies of certificates along with the application fee in the form of Demand Draft.

** The print-out of the on-line application shall be sent by post/courier or can be submitted in person to “ The Convenor – CENTAC, Pondicherry Engineering College Campus, Pillaichavady, Puducherry – 605 014 along with the application fee in the form of a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of “ The Convenor – CENTAC, payable at Puducherry. The application is `800/- (for SC/BT ` 400/-).

** The last date for the receipt of the print-out on-line application is 19/06/2016.

** Candidates who have not received the Diploma mark statement from the Board may enclose the printed version of the on-line mark statement duly attested by the Head/Authorized person of the respective institution.

** Applications submitted/received after the prescribed last date and time will summarily be rejected.
** Options once exercised with regard to Course/Community status shall not be changed under any circumstances.

The certificates of Nationality, Community, Residence, Income, Nativity, Service, Home town declaration claim need to be obtained from the respective competent authorities in the prescribed formats. (Recently obtained and valid certificates only will be considered)

** Original certificates should not be enclosed along with the application form. Only self-attested copies of the certificates (With the application number written on the right side top of all the certificates) need to be enclosed with the application form.

At the time of counseling all the original certificates need to be produced for verification.

** Applications which are incomplete, defective will summarily be rejected and no correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
