Admissions will be done in all the courses as mentioned above on the basis of score in the Patna University Common Eligibility Test to be called PUCET.

PUCET for B.A. (Hons.)/PUCET for B.Com. (Hons.)/PUCET for B.Sc. (Hons.) Maths. group & PUCET for B.Sc. (Hons.) Bio. group will be conducted on different dates at various centres in Patna.

How to Apply? :
What all do you need to do for completing the Online application process for appearing in the PUCET and admissions in colleges of Patna University.

As an applicant you would need the following:
1. A Mobile Number/e-mail id for registration and for receiving all future notifications/communications/ correspondence/ information related to the online application, Admit card, Entrance Test Result, Admission Counseling etc. till the admission process is over and subsequently, if admitted.

2. Access to facilities of computer with internet connectivity, B/W printer and scanner.
3. A recent passport sized colour photograph (To be scanned for uploading in “jpeg” format only. File size of scanned photograph should not be more than 50KB).
4. Your signature using Blue/Black pen on white sheet (To be scanned for uploading in “jpeg” format only. File size of scanned signature should not be more than 50KB).

5. Access to an online payment facility / service such as
I. Net Banking
II. Credit card
III. ATM-cum-Debit card

IV. If you do not have Net Banking facility/Credit Card or ATM-cum Debit Card, you can pay the fee in cash at any branch of Allahabad Bank through the Challan downloaded from the Entrance Test Portal.

You will be able to download the duly filled up Allahabad Bank challan from the Entrance Test Portal only when you select the “cash payment” option while filling the application form online.

How to complete Registration on the Patna University Common Entrance Test through patnauniversity.ac.in for Online Application Process?
Step 1: Please click on “Apply Online for PUCET” button given on the home page of the PUCET Entrance Test Portal at patnauniversity.ac.in

Step 2: On clicking the link, you will be directed to a new page having an Applicant Login Box. Below the login fields there is a link “Register Yourself”. Please click on this link.

Steps to be followed for filling the online application:
Before proceeding to fill up the online application form, please ensure that you have the required details and scanned image files of your
(i) recent passport size colour photograph [as specified at para 3 above]
(ii) signature [as specified at para 4 above], which will be needed at different stages of process.

The entire process of filling online application form can be completed in six stages. The six stages are:
1. Registration on the PU Common Eligibility Test Portal (patnauniversity.ac.in) for online application process.
2. Select the course of your choice [check eligibility, dates of Entrance Test etc].

3. If you choose to apply for the selected course [do it after confirming your eligibility, dates of Entrance Test etc], application form will appear on the screen. Fill up the details in the application form which will have following sections:
i. Applicant Details
ii. Correspondence Address and Details of Parents
iii. Your Preference of Entrance Test Course – B.A. (Hons.)/B.Com. (Hons.)/B.Sc. (Hons.) Maths. group/ B.Sc. (Hons.) Bio. group
iv. Upload scanned image file of your Photograph and Signature [as specified in para 3 & 4 above]
v. Final Review of details entered in the Application Form and if they are correct then ‘Confirm’ the submission. Else, edit the details before confirming submission.
vi. Fee Payment & application Submission
