The Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training will be holding counseling for admission to 2nd year Diploma level Engineering Courses being run in the institutions / Polytechnics located in the State of Punjab and Union Territory, Chandigarh, affiliated with the Board, for the session 2016-17.

The tentative schedule of counselling is given in the prospectus, however, the exact date of counseling will be notified through the press and Board’s website punjabteched.com.

All candidates desirous of seeking admission are required to fill online Registration Form, which is available on the Boards website punjabteched.com and psbte.gov.in.

The last date of filling online Registration Form is 15.6.2016. The candidates are advised to read the entire information brochure–cum–prospectus carefully before filling the online Registration Form.

I. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
All those candidates who have passed the following examinations would be eligible for consideration for Lateral Entry 2016-17 in various diploma courses:

a) i) 12th Science with Vocational/Technical OR 10th + (2 years ITI) Students passing 12th Science with Vocational/ Technical subjects / various branches or 10th + (2 years ITI) in that order shall be eligible for admission to second year Diploma Courses of appropriate program upto a maximum of 20% of sanctioned intake.

b) However, if seats remained vacant then the same will be filled on the basis of inter-se-merit as per the below mentioned eligibility criteria:
i) ITI at least with one year (who passed 10th level School Leaving Examination before admission to ITI courses) from any Institution of Punjab/ Other state.

ii) 10+2 with science from any institute of Punjab / Other state.
iii) Two years certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal and have Punjab Domicile.

iv) Two years certificate course in Skill Technician (Machiist), Skill Technician (Machine Maintenance) and Quality Assuranace Inspector From R & D Cenre for Bicycle and Sewing Machine, Ludhiana.

II. SUBMISSION OF ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM :
1. The Registration Form should be submitted online on or before 15 June, 2016. Candidates should ensure that the particulars mentioned in the registration form are correct and complete. Incomplete registration forms will be rejected and the candidate will not be considered for admission.

2. No separate registration form is required for admission in the institutions located in Chandigarh.
3. All entries in the registration form must be in the candidate’s own hand.
4. Fee to be submitted for the Registration is Rs. 1250/ – for all Candidates other than SC/ST. (Rs 1000/- for SC/ST candidates) .

5. The admission application shall be rejected if –
i) The entries are incomplete.
ii) The candidate is ineligible to apply for admission.
iii) Applications not accompained by requisite fee.
