Ph.D. Entrance Examination :

UTU Dehradun runs PhD program in various disciplines such as Chemistry, Civil Engineering, CSE, ECE, Electrical Engg., English, EVS, Life-Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Botany, Microbiology, Zoology), Management, Mass Comm., Mathematics, Mechanical, Pharmacy, Physics, Chemical Engg. and Food Technology.

Applications to admission in Ph.D. program are invited from interested candidates, which can be submitted online from the University website. The last date for submitting the applications at UTU is May 31st 2016. Applications submitted will be screened, and incomplete applications not filled up as per UTU guidelines and applications submitted late will be rejected.

There will be an Entrance Test for the candidates for Ph.D. admission, however, as per UGC 2009 guidelines GATE/NET qualified candidates are exempted from the test. The date of the test will be June 20, 2016. Please see website of the University regularly for further updates.

** Date of Ph.D. Entrance Examination is June 20, 2016.
** Time of Ph.D. Entrance Examination is from 11.00 AM to 12.00 Noon.
** Time duration is one hrs. for Ph.D. Entrance Examination.
** All Questions are objective type.
** 50% paper will have questions on aptitude and 50% questions are related to major disciplines.
** Entrance examination will be conducted at UTU New Building campus, Dehradun.

Enclosures :
** Brief description of the research protocol must include the Title, Introduction, Importance of proposed research investigation, objectives, proposed methodology and References.
** Detailed Resume of Guide and Co-Guide along with their consent letters.
** Declaration by the Guide
** Declaration by the Co-Guide
** Recommendation by the Head of the Department
** The list of research facilities available in the department required for the research work of the candidate.

Note:
1. At present the Annual Fee is Rs 10,000/-per year which is to be deposited every year from the date of registration.
2. Date of Registration will becounted from the last date of fee deposition declared by the University.
3. Last Date of Submission of Application form will be informed through the University website accordingly.
4. Late application will be rejected.
5. Payment will be made to UTU online (See website of University for making payment). Inform to us at phd@uktech.ac.in about the payment made.
6. As per UGC guidelines, main Guide/Supervisor will be from the Affiliated Institutions of UTU.
7. University will not provide Supervisor to any Research Scholar. It will be arranged by the candidate him/herself.
