P.G. Medical (MD/MS/Diploma) :

This prospectus contains the rules and regulations applicable for selection and admission for academic year 2016-17 to MD / MS / PG Diploma courses in the member colleges listed above. This prospectus contains procedure for admission to all those seats filled up by the management other than category of seats for the children/dependents of NRIs.

The number of seats available for admission in accordance with this prospectus and the college wise and course wise distribution of these seats are explained in respective pages given as Annexure I A, B, C & D.

This prospectus may be subject to modification / addition / deletion as may be deemed necessary by the Federation and also subject to further orders, if any, passed by appropriate authorities/ courts of law.

Duration Of The Courses :
As per the MCI Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations, 2000, 10 (1) & (3), the duration of the course including University Examination is 3 years in the case of Degree Courses and 2 years in the case of Diploma Courses.

There shall be an exemption of one year in the duration of PG degree courses in respect of candidates who have done P.G. Diploma course of two years and awarded Diploma in the same subject. The candidates must have acquired the P.G. Diploma pass certificate on or before 30th April 2016 for being eligible for reduction in the duration of the course.

No other reduction in the duration of the course shall be granted. The date of commencement of the course and the last date of completion of admission process will be as per the time schedule fixed by the Government of India/Medical Council of India/Supreme Court of India.

Academic:
i. Applicants should have passed the MBBS Degree from any of the Universities in Kerala or from any other University recognized by the Kerala University of Health Sciences as equivalent thereto with eligibility for full registration in respect of all courses.

Applicants who have completed the Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship (C.R.R.I.) on or before 31.03.2016 are eligible to apply; but admission to the candidates will be given only after obtaining registration of T.C. Medical Council. Applicants must meet all the requirements that may be stipulated by MCI and Kerala University of Health Sciences, from time to time.

ii. In the case of an Indian national with the recognized degree from Foreign University, the Medical Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for the registration, grant temporary/permanent registration for the duration of the Post Graduate training restricted to the college/institution to which the applicant is admitted for the time being exclusively for Post
Graduate studies.

Temporary/Permanent registration to such candidates shall be subject to the condition that the degree is duly registered in the country where the degree is obtained and is recognized by the corresponding Council or concerned authority in India also.

HOW TO APPLY :
The Prospectus along with application forms for Post Graduate Medical Courses can be downloaded from the website of the Federation kcpcmf.in or can be submitted ONLINE.

The Application shall be submitted as detailed below:
a) Completed application form should be submitted to any one of the Colleges and not to the Office of the Federation. This should be submitted before 3 p.m. on 04th May 2016.

i) The application form can be submitted online on the website of the Federation kcpcmf.in. A print out of the online application with copies of required documents affixing the photograph and signature shall be submitted along with a DD for Rs.2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) drawn in favour of KCPCMF payable at Ernakulam to any one of the member colleges.

OR
ii) The application form and prospectus can be downloaded from the website of the Federation. The filled-in downloaded application along with copies of documents and DD for Rs.2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) drawn in favour of KCPCMF payable at Ernakulam shall be submitted to any one of the member colleges.

b) Applicants shall obtain acknowledgement from the college office for the applications submitted in person at the respective Colleges.

c) Since the application forms are available from the website, the same will not be sent to candidates by post. But completed applications can be submitted by Regd. Post/Speed post with a/d, so as to reach any of the colleges before the last date notified for the receipt of the same. The federation will not be responsible for any delayed delivery.

e) Applications submitted should be complete in all respects. Incomplete applications will stand rejected. Applicant will not be allowed to include any information in the application form, nor submit any certificates/documents, later.

Self Attested photocopies of certificates/Documents to be submitted along with the application:
a) School Leaving Certificate (S.S.L.C.) of student / Proof of Date of Birth.
b) All marks sheets of M.B.B.S. including that of failed years, if any (First Year to Final Year university examination mark card/s).
c) Attempt Certificate.
d) Internship Completion Certificate / Internship Completed Certificate.
e) Degree Certificate / Provisional Degree Certificate.
f) Registration Certificate from the MCI or/and State Medical Council.
g) Admit Card and Score Card of the relevant P.G. Medical Entrance Examination for admission session 2016.
h) Certificate issued by competent authority (Authorized to issue such a certificate but not below the rank of a Tahsildar) to prove SC / ST / OBC status (if applicable).
i) Nativity Certificate, if applicable.

2. Online application commences 18th April 2016, Mon.
3. Last date for submission of applications 04th May 2016, Wed.
4. Publication of the provisional rank lists 07th May 2016, Sat.
5. 1st Round of counselling 11th May 2016, Wed.
6. Commencement of academic session 17th May 2016, Tue.
7. 2nd Round of counselling, if required 26th May 2016, Thu.
8. Last Date to Cancel Admission, for whatever reason, to any candidate who has joined in any of the member colleges will be 4 pm on: 28th May 2016, Sat.
9. Final round of counselling & spot admission 30th May 2016, Mon.
