AIPVT FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What is All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT)?
AIPVT is an Entrance Test conducted by the Veterinary Council of India for filling up 15% of All India Quota seats in the Veterinary Colleges in India (except from Jammu & Kashmir State).

2. Which are the States, Universities and Institutions participating in AIPVT 2015 for filling up of B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Degree Course) seats under their control?
AIPVT is conducted for filling up 15% of All India Quota seats in the Veterinary Colleges in India. List of Veterinary Colleges where seats may be available under 15% All India Quota are given in Information Bulletin of AIPVT-2015 at Appendix VIII.
3. Whether the examination will be offline or online?
AIPVT 2015 will be an offline pen and paper test.
4. What is the examination date for AIPVT 2015?
The date of examination is 20th June, 2015 (Saturday 2.00 to 5.00 P.M.).
5. What is the syllabus for AIPVT 2015?
The syllabus is given in the Information Bulletin of AIPVT-2015 at Appendix-II
What are the duration/timings of AIPVT 2015?
The duration of AIPVT-2015 shall be 03 hours from 2.00 to 5.00 P.M.
8. Which are the cities where AIPVT 2015 will be held?
A list of examination centre cities is given in Information Bulletin of AIPVT-2015 at Appendix I
9. How to fill up ‘online’ application form for AIPVT 2015? Are there any guidelines for the students before filling the application form?
Application form for AIPVT-2015 can be submitted only online through Council website www.aipvt.vci.nic.in. Details are available in the Information Bulletin of AIPVT-2015 available on the Council website.
10. If any candidate face problem in filling up of form, to whom the candidate can approach?

11 How to remit fee for AIPVT 2015?
The examination fee for AIPVT 2015 can be remitted in the following manner
1. Through any Debit/Credit Card using on-line payment gateway facility.
2. Through e-challan by depositing fee in the VCI account in any of the branches of Vijaya Bank/ State Bank of India.
12. If any candidate faces any problem in remittance of fee, to whom can he/she approach?
Candidates can approach the concerned Banks on Contact Nos. which are available on the website of the AIPVT-2015.
13. How to find out the nearby VIJAYA Bank/State Bank of India for fee remittance?
The website www.aipvt.vci.nic.in has a link – Help, to show nearby branches of VIJAYA Bank/State Bank of India for facilitating candidates to make payment by e-challan.
If a candidate for any reason not appearing or appeared in the examination is there any provision for fee refund? No. Once the online application form is submitted successfully by the candidate, it cannot be withdrawn. Claims for refund of application fee will not be entertained under any circumstances.
16. What is the minimum and maximum age for appearing in AIPVT 2015 for 15% All India Quota seats? The candidates should be an Indian National (except from the State of Jammu & Kashmir).
A candidate who has attained or will attain the age of Seventeen (17) years as on 31st December, 2015 are eligible for AIPVT-2015. Candidates attaining seventeen years on 1st of January, 2016 or later will not be eligible to appear at the AIPVT-2015.
The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats is 25 years as on 31st December, 2015. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes.Candidate must be born on or between
(a) 01/01/86 to 01/01/99 (SC/ST/OBC Category)
(b) 01/01/91 to 01/01/99 (General Category)
17. Is candidate from Jammu & Kashmir eligible for 15% All India Quota seats?
(a) Candidates from the State of Jammu & Kashmir are NOT ELIGIBLE for 15% All India Quota seats as the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council Act 1984 have not been extended to the State of Jammu & Kashmir. If they claim eligibility, they must upload Self Declaration, as per proforma given in Appendix-III on a Plain Paper to the effect that
i. They are not eligible to seek admission for B.V.Sc & A.H. Course in Veterinary Colleges in the State of Jammu & Kashmir.
ii. They are not domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir
(b) Online Applications Form not supported with the required scanned Self Declaration in original as per format given at Appendix-III or incomplete, unsigned or photocopy of the Self Declaration shall be summarily rejected without any further reference in the matter.
(c) The Self Declaration made by such candidates will be verified and if found to be false, the admission of all such candidates shall be cancelled and criminal proceedings may be initiated against them.
(d) Candidates from State of Jammu & Kashmir shall have to submit an affidavit as per Appendix-IV on Non Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs.10/- duly attested by Metropolitan Magistrate/ First Class Judicial Magistrate at the time of Counseling.
18. What are the enclosures that should be attached with the confirmation page to be sent to the VCI?
The candidates are NOT REQUIRED TO SEND the print out of the Confirmation Page or any other document (s) to the VCI.
19. While filling up of the Application Form, wrong particulars are filled in the online form, how it will be corrected.
The application particulars entered can be edited before final submission of the application form. The application contents cannot be changed/edited once it is finally submitted.
20. Is a candidate passed class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and English subjects from NIOS, eligible to appear for AIPVT?
Yes, any candidate passed class XII examination with an aggregate of 50% marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Bio-Technology) and also passed English in the Qualifying Examination from any recognised Board/University can appear in the AIPVT subject to other conditions as given in Information Bulletin..
