Admission to M. Sc Programme in most National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and some Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) will be through a process of Centralized Counselling (CCMN 2016) being organized by National Institute of Technology, Rourkela.

Admission will be on the basis of qualified IIT-JAM score only. Online application process will commence from last week of April 2016. For details please visit website ccmn.in

All Participating Institutes have agreed on the common counseling pattern and procedures to be established for admission by CCMN 2016. The total number of seats available for admission to the above institutes through CCMN 2016 is more than 1100.

The CCMN 2016 committee approved of the following common counselling procedure viz. Qualified IIT-JAM score, Common Eligibility Criteria of 60% or 6.5 CGPA (for GEN/OBC) and 55% or 6.0 CGPA (for SC/ST/PWD), requisite documents for the counseling and admission, cut off dates for deciding upon the eligibility, relevant payment terms and detailed framework for the entire process. CCMN 2016 runs through a process of 2 normal rounds of allotment and 1 National Spot Round (NSR) allotment to fill the available seats.

“All candidates wishing to take admission at NITs/CFTIs for any M. Sc/M. Sc (Tech) programmes should go through the Centralized Counselling procedure followed by CCMN 2016, organized by National Institute of Technology, Rourkela.”

It is to be noted here that, the applications and admissions for IISc/IITs does not have any bearing and link to the application and admission process for NITs and CFTIs by CCMN 2016.
