ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION TO PG MEDICAL(DEGREE/DIPLOMA) COURSES, KERALA – 2016

The Provisional Rank list of General candidates and the results of service candidates who have appeared for the Entrance Examination for admission to P G Medical Course 2016 conducted on 31.01.2016 at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikkode centres are published herewith.
Dr. KIREN GEORGE KOSHY, TC 4/2559/1, Kuravankonam, Kowdiar P O, Thiruvananthapuram (Roll No.55906) has secured the first rank in this Entrance Examination.
The Answer Keys to the questions were published on 01.02.2016. A few complaints regarding the questions/keys have been received and the same have been examined by Expert Committee constituted for the purpose. Based on the recommendations of the Committee, in Paper I (Version A) Question numbers 1, 47, 60, 61, 79, 97, 148 and 149 are deleted and key of Qn. No. 40 changed as A, Qn. No. 67 changed as B and Qn. No. 69 changed as B. In Paper I (Version B) Question numbers 4, 22, 73, 74, 76, 122, 135 and 136 are deleted and key of Qn. No. 115 changed as A, Qn. No. 142 changed as B and Qn. No. 144 changed as B . In Paper II (Version A) Question numbers 44, 59, 97, 98, 112 and 148 are deleted and key of Qn. No. 101 changed as B, Qn. No. 102 changed as A, Qn. No. 111 changed as A and Qn. No. 116 changed as B. In Paper II (Version B) Question numbers 17, 18, 32, 68, 114 and 129 are deleted and key of Qn. No. 21 changed as B, Qn. No. 22 changed as A, Qn. No. 31 changed as A and Qn. No. 36 changed as B.
While preparing the rank list, in Paper I, 8 questions have been deleted since there were more than one correct choice for the questions/ambiguous questions. These questions have not been included for valuation and no marks have been awarded for these deleted questions to any candidate. The marks obtained for the remaining 142 questions have been multiplied by (150/142) to get the actual marks (corrected to four decimals). Also in Paper II, 6 questions have been deleted since there were more than one correct choice for the questions/ambiguous questions.
These questions have not been included for valuation and no marks have been awarded for these deleted questions to any candidate. The marks obtained for the remaining 144 questions have been multiplied by (150/144) to get the actual marks (corrected to four decimals). The above formulae are applied to award proportionate marks based on the scores of the candidates in the questions considered for valuation (excluding deleted question) to compensate the loss of marks for the deleted question.
The Provisional Rank list of General Quota candidates and the Result of Service Quota candidates will be available for reference in this office and on the website cee-kerala.org. The rank list of Health Service Quota (HSQ) candidates will be published by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations after awarding the due weightage of marks for the difficult rural service furnished by the Director of Health Service (DHS). Also the rank lists of Medical Education Service Quota (MESQ), Insurance Medical Service Quota (IMSQ) and Municipal Service Quota (MSQ) will be published after receiving the final remarks regarding the service details of the Qualified Service Candidates from the respective Controlling Officers. The rank lists of Service Quota Candidates will be published as per the Prospectus approved by the Government in GO(Rt) No. 3978/2015/H&FWD dated: 10.12.2015 and its subsequent amendment there in as per the GO(Rt) No. 15/2016/H&FWD dated: 04.01.2016 and the Judgment in WP(C) No: 39448 of 2015 (E) dated: 07.01.2016 of the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala.
Inclusion of a candidate in the rank list does not entitle him/her for admission to the courses, unless he/she satisfies the eligibility conditions contained in the Government approved Prospectus. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will make allotment and admissions as per the conditions laid down in the Prospectus.
