Admission to the course will be made purely on merit, based on the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination together with the post–BNYS / ND experience marks which will be calculated as below

Maximum marks for Written Entrance Examination – 90 marks
Maximum marks for post– B.N.Y.S. / N.D(OSM) – 10 marks
Clinical Experience —-
Total – 100 marks

The Entrance Examination for admission to the Post Graduate M.D (Yoga and Naturopathy) course will be conducted as per existing norms / syllabus of the Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G. R. Medical University for BNYS Medical Degree Course.

The Entrance Examination will primarily assess the depth of knowledge and depth of understanding of the candidate of all medical subjects both theory and clinical, taught at the undergraduate level [B.N.Y.S. or N. D. (OSM)]. The questions will be of objective multiple choice nature for which four answer options viz., A, B, C, and D will be offered. The candidates should select the answer which is the most correct answer. The correctness of answers will be verified by a team of experts with reference to relevant texts. Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. If a question is not answered, no marks will be awarded. If more than one answer is indicated or any item is marked very faintly or illegibly as seen during the machine scan of answer sheets, the question will be treated as not answered and no mark will be awarded. It is reiterated that all questions carry equal marks. The total marks accorded will then be computed to a maximum of 90 marks.

The question paper will have two hundred (200) objective-type questions comprising Section A containing a maximum of 100 (One hundred) selfcontained objective-type questions based on the twenty six subjects taught in the BNYS programme and Section B containing a maximum of 100 (One hundred) questions based on short passages (paragraphs) which will be given and 3 – 5 objective type questions set based on the paragraphs. The candidates should answer questions based on the material available and directly analyzable details or on direct implications. The candidate should not assume any data that is not contained in the passage or which is not directly derivable from the information contained in the passage. The decision of the Selection Committee on the content, implications and answer for each type of question is final. All the 200 questions carry equal marks.

The Entrance Examination for MD (Yoga and Naturopathy ) will be conducted tentatively on 26-09-2015 at 09.30 a.m. in one session of 3 hours duration at Government Siddha Medical College, Arignar Anna Govt. Hospital of Indian Medicine Campus, Arumbakkam, Chennai 600 106. Candidates should be present and seated in their allotted place as per their Application Register number, thirty minutes prior to the commencement of examination in order to fill up all examination and identification particulars. Answers should be shaded with their blue or black ball pen (NOT GEL), in the OMR sheets as per the instructions given in the OMR Sheet.

The question paper, Blank sheets (if any), OMR answer sheets, etc. are the property of the Committee and no part or whole shall be retained by a candidate under any circumstances. Any attempt to retain or take away these materials by a candidate shall be construed as serious misconduct and the candidate will be immediately disqualified and his/her paper will be seized and not evaluated.

Candidate should bring Hall Ticket at the time of examination.

The Hall Superintendent will verify the identity of the examinee with reference to his/her photograph affixed on the Identification card. The candidate will also be required to affix their signature in full various forms as part of the identification process. Failure to follow instructions will result in expulsion of the candidate.

There will be no rechecking, revaluation or recount of answer sheets. The Selection Committee’s decision on this matter is final.

Marks for Experience will be calculated for each applicant in the following method.
** 1 (one) mark for each completed year after the completion of CRRI shall be awarded as marks for experience for both Service / Non-Service candidates subject to a maximum of 10 (Ten) marks as on 31-03-2015.

** Two marks will be awarded for each completed year of Government Service in hilly areas and it will be limited subject to a maximum of 10 (Ten) marks.

** In any case the total marks awarded for experience / hill station service together shall be restricted to maximum of 10 (Ten) marks to all candidates.

** Fractional values of a year will not be counted for awarding marks for experience and hill station service.

The merit list will be arrived at by taking together the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination and the marks awarded for experience / hill station service or both. (For example, if a candidate scores 50 marks in Entrance examination and have completed 2 years experience as on 31-03-2015 after CRRI or one year of hill station service, the total aggregate marks will be 50 +2 = 52).
