Presidency University Masters’ Entrance Test (PUMET) – 2015
All applicants who have received the B.A. (Hons)/B.Sc. (Hons) degree after 1 January 20141, with the requisite marks mentioned below, from any recognised University, will be eligible to appear in the admission test for admission to the two–year postgraduate (M.A./M.Sc.) programme of Presidency University.
In exceptional cases, students who have obtained their Bachelor’s degree before 2014 will be permitted to sit for the Admission test. Such candidates should write an email to help.admission@presiuniv.ac.in at least two days before the application deadline and seek approval from the Chairpersons of the Admission Committee before submitting the application. Responses will be given within 24 hours.
Eligibility criteria for the Admission test for entry to the First Semester M.A./M.Sc. Classes :

Philosophy 50% in Philosophy (Honours) 5.5
Political Science 50% in Political Science (Honours) 5.5
Sociology 50% in Sociology (Honours) 5.5
Biological Sciences 55% marks in B.Sc. with Honours in any branch of Biological Sciences 6.0
Chemistry 55% in Chemistry (Honours) 6.0
Applied Economics 55% in Economics (Honours) 6.0
Applied Geology 55% in Geology (Honours) 6.0
Mathematics 55% in Mathematics (Honours) 6.0
Physics 55% in Physics (Honours) 6.0
Statistics 55% in Statistics (Honours) 6.0
The admission of SC/ST/OBC—A/B candidates (with valid certificates from West Bengal) will follow the reservation policies of West Bengal State Higher Education Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act, 2013 and West Bengal State Higher Education Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Rules, 2014.
Postgraduate Admission for the academic session 2015–16
Candidates, who have appeared or are appearing for the final B.A./B.Sc. Examination at the time of admission, but do not have their final results, may seek provisional admission, on the basis of marks obtained up to the previous parts of their Bachelor’s examinatin. If selected, they must submit their final marksheet by 31 August, demonstrating that they fulfill the minimum condition of eligibility, failing which the candidature will be cancelled.
Direct Admission for candidates from Presidency University
Up to 60% of the PG seats in the respective departments will be filled through the direct admission of the candidates from Presidency University, who have obtained CGPA equal to or above the cutoff grades given below:
For admission to Bengali, English, Hindi, History, Geography, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology: CGPA of 6.5 or above in their Major subject.
For admission to Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics: CGPA of 7.5 or above in their Major subject.
Within this category, the fraction of seats reserved and CGPA cutoff for SC/ST/OBC—A/OBC—B .candidates .will .follow .the .reservation .policies .of .West .Bengal . State Higher Education Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act, 2013 and West Bengal State Higher Education Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Rules, 2014.
Admission test :
After the seats for direct admission are filled by eligible candidates from Presidency University, the remaining seats in each category (General/ SC/ST/OBC— A/OBC—B) will be filled from the merit list based on the marks obtained in the Admission Test (2 hours, 100 marks) for each subject.
Provisional timeline :

Admission tests, conducted by the WB–JEE Board, to be held on 2 August 2015
Publication of Merit Lists for Direct admission and from Admission test 10 August 2015
Start of PG Semester 1 classes 17 August 2015

3. Candidates for PUMET-2015 will need scanned copy of their photo & signature.
4. Registration form will be open from 21-07-2015 till 27-07-2015.
5. Please ensure that the form is submitted and the bank payment is completed by 4 pm by Monday 27-07-2015.

Where can I get the question paper for MA English?
I came to know from your site that post graduate entrance will be held on 2th august. But till now I did not received any admit card for entrance examination. So please let me know when will you issue the admit card for the entrance. Here I have applied as a geography Msc course.
