Super Speciality Entrance Test (SSET-2015) :
For Admission to D.M. & M.Ch. Courses :
SCHEME OF ENTRANCE TEST :
i. Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot shall conduct Entrance test for admission to D.M./M.Ch. Courses.
ii. The question paper SSET-2015 (DM/M.Ch.) will be of 2.00 hours duration consisting 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) carrying 400 marks.
CONDUCT OF THE TEST :
SSET- 2015 will be conducted for admission to Super Specialty Courses of D.M. in the speciality of Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Neurology & Nephrology and M.Ch. in the speciality of Plastic Surgery, Urology, Neurosurgery, Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery in Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana.
SSET-2015 for Super Speciality Courses will contain 100 multiple choice questions of 4 marks each. The duration of test will be of 2 hours. The candidates who secures 50% and above marks in SSET-2015 will be eligible for Practical/viva of 100 marks and final merit for admission will be prepared on the basis of SSET marks and practical/viva marks taken together.
Candidates having appropriate postgraduate qualification as are required for undertaking a Super- specialty Courses as per the norms of the Medical Council of India, can apply for taking the SSET – 2015.
Candidates are advised to carefully go through the entire prospectus and comply with all the requirements / directions / instructions therein contained with regard to filling up of the admission application form, its submission, all relevant information required for the appearing in the SSET-2015 and admissions thereof. The procedure for appearing in the entrance test, the centre for taking the test and the timing of the counseling will be as per Part-A of the Prospectus.
Eligibility of the candidates for Super Specialty Courses Session 2015 is on all India basis without any reservations of any kind whatsoever.
There shall be no negative marking. However the candidates who do not darken the fifth oval in case of unattempted questions introduced for security shall be getting deduction of marks at the rate of one mark per question left in which all the five ovals have been left blank.
The candidate will have to write his question booklet number and OMR response sheet number on the attendance sheet. The OMR response sheet number should be written on question booklet and question booklet number on the OMR response sheet.
The female candidates shall affix RTI (Right Thumb Impression) in case of male LTI (Left Thumb Impression) on the attendance sheets, roll number counter slip as well as on the OMR response sheet.
Candidate shall fill the ovals of OMR response sheet with black fine tip ball pen only.
The candidate shall do signature on OMR response sheet, attendance sheet and on question booklet.
Candidates shall not be allowed to leave the examination hall till the completion of the time of the test.
The test shall be conducted in the center(s) decided by the University. The same shall be intimated to the candidates.
The examination hall will open 30 minutes before the commencement of the test. Candidates are expected to take their seats 15 minutes before the commencement of the test. If the candidates do not report in time they are likely to miss some of the general instructions to be announced in the examination hall.
The candidates must show, on demand, the Admit Card for entry in the examination hall. A candidate who will not bring the Admit Card issued by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, will not be admitted to the examination hall under any circumstances by the Centre Superintendent. All candidates and invigilators shall be videographed at the examination centers.
Candidates must find out and occupy their allotted seats after consulting the seatingplan displayed at Examination Centre.
A candidate who comes after 5 minutes of the commencement of the test shall not be permitted to take the test.
A candidate shall not be allowed to carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers or any other material except the Admit Card inside the Examination Hall.
Calculators, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Electronic Watches with facilities of calculators, cellular phones, pagers or any other electronic devices the use/misuse of which would be adverse to the proper conduct of this Test shall not be allowed inside the Examination Hall. Any candidate in possession of these may be expelled from this Test.
No candidate shall be allowed to go outside the Examination Hall till the completion of the entire duration of time.
No candidate, without the special permission of the Centre Superintendent or theInvigilator concerned, will leave his/her seat or the Examination Room until the expiry of full time allotted for test. Candidates should not leave the Hall without handing over their Question Booklets and the OMR Response Sheets to the invigilator on duty.
Candidates are advised to bring with them a card board or a clip board on which nothing should be written so that they have no difficulty in marking responses on the OMR Response Sheet even if the tables provided in the Examination hall do not have smooth surface. BLACK FINE TIP BALL PENS will be provided by the University.
Smoking in the Examination hall during examination is strictly prohibited.
Tea, coffee, cold drinks, snacks, toffees, chocolates etc. are not allowed to be taken into the examination rooms during the examination.
Use of Electronic/Manual Calculator, mobile phone is strictly prohibited.
Candidates shall maintain perfect silence and attend to their papers only. Conversation, gesticulation or disturbance in the Examination Hall shall be deemed as a violation.
If a candidate is found using unfair means or impersonating, then his/her candidature will be cancelled and he/she will be liable to be debarred for taking examination either permanently or for a specified period according to the nature of offence. Decision of the University shall be final and binding in this regard. However candidates who try to send impersonators shall be barred permanently and criminal cases shall be registered against them.
In the OMR Response Sheet there would be five ovals against every question marked as A, B, C, D and E. The candidate shall shade one of the four ovals corresponding to the correct response to a question using BLACK FINE TIP BALL PEN only.
If a candidate is unable to answer he/she should shade the fifth oval.
Candidates are advised not to write anything on any place which is not specifically provided for this purpose.
The sheet at the end of the question booklet can be used for rough work. Rough work can also be carried out on the margin of Question Booklet.
Candidates must read the instructions given on the Question Booklet and OMR Response Sheet before attempting to answer the questions.
During the course of the Test, Invigilator will approach each candidate to get his/her attendance marked on the Attendance Sheet and also get thumb impression of the candidate. Male candidates shall affix their Left Thumb Impression and female candidate shall affix their Right Thumb Impression at the space provided on Attendance Sheet and OMR Response sheet.
The candidate shall be required to fill the Question Booklet number and OMR Response Sheet number on the Attendance Sheet. The Invigilator shall also sign at the appropriate places on the Question Booklet, OMR Response Sheet and Attendance Sheet.
One thumb impression of the admitted candidate shall be taken by the Principal of the institution where candidate opted for admission.
Candidate must fill the question booklet number and OMR Response Sheet number very carefully.
The candidate is required to hand over both question booklet and OMR Response Sheet to the Centre Superintendent even if they have not attempted any question and no page/part of the question booklet and OMR Response Sheet is to be torn or removed or taken out of the Examination Centre under any circumstances failing which the candidature shall be cancelled.
The Centre Superintendent/Observer/other authorized University officer / official shall be competent to expel a candidate from the examination centre.
There may be other measures which shall be announced at the centre.
