AIEEA – UG 2015 – 16 :
Eligibility Requirements :
Age and Nationality:
Indian Nationals of at least 17 years of age but not more than 23 years as on 31.08.2015 (i.e. must have been born between 01.09.1992 to 01.09.1998) are eligible to apply for the examination. No relaxation of age will be allowed to the candidates except for SC/ST/PC categories where upper age limit would be relaxable by 5 years.
Qualifying Examination:
(i) Candidate must have passed 10+2 Senior Secondary Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination within scope and standard found to be equivalent to the Senior Secondary Examination of an Indian Board/ University after a period of 12 years of study. The last two years of such 10+2 examination should have papers in Physics, Chemistry and any one of the subjects from Biology/ Mathematics/ Agriculture* /Home Science**. Besides, for admission in the Universities specifically located in non-Hindi speaking areas, candidate must have passed English as a core subject in 10+2 examination.
* Intermediate with Agriculture and having not studied Physics and Chemistry as separate subjects may also be eligible for admission in some SAUs in the State of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. ** Intermediate with Agriculture would be eligible for admission in limited AUs.
(ii) (a) Candidate must have passed any one of the qualifying examinations enumerated above securing not less than 50% marks in aggregate for General, OBC and UPS categories and 40% marks in aggregate for SC, ST and PC categories.
(b)Candidate having a compartment/supplementary in anyofthesubjectswill not be eligible unless proof of having cleared the examination with requisite percentage as in 3.2.1 (ii)(a) above is available.
Candidate appearing in the qualifying examination enumerated above, can also apply but would be required to submit evidence of having satisfied the conditions in 3.2.1 (i) & (ii), latest by the counseling date, as otherwise the candidature will be automatically cancelled.
Candidates opting for Stream-A in the entrance examination should have passed 10+2 examination enumerated above necessarily with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agriculture/Home Science subjects whereas those opting for Stream-B should have passed 10+2 examination necessarily with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
Note: While submitting application, candidate must ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria in entirety.
AIEEA – PG 2015 – 16 :
Eligibility Requirements :
Age and Nationality:
Indian Nationals having age not below 19 years as on 31.08.2015 (i.e., candidate should not have been born after 01.09.1996) are eligible to appear in the examination. No relaxation is admissible regarding the minimum age limit.
Qualifying Examination:
Candidate must have passed (or due to appear at the final examination) their Bachelor degree from a recognized university in the concerned field under 10+2+5 (B.V.Sc. & AH), 10+2+4, 10+6 years degree programmes may apply for this examination. Very few options in limited universities namely (i) CCSHAU, Hisar, (ii) Dr. YS Parmar University, Solan, (iii) PAU, Ludhiana, (iv) IARI, Pusa, (v) SHIATS, Allahabad, and (vi) GBPUA&T, Pantnagar are also available for candidates having passed Bachelor degree with 10+2+3 year degree programme in few basic science courses. The Veterinary graduates without their valid registration under the IVC Act. 1984 will not be considered for the PG counseling and admission.
The candidate must have passed Bachelor degree examination securing Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of at least 6.60/10.00 in ten-point scale, 3.25/5.00 in five-point scale, 2.60/4.00 in four-point scale for General, OBC and UPS categories whereas for SC/ST/Physically Challenged (PC) candidates, the said requirement is an OGPA of at least 5.60/10.00, 2.75/5.00, 2.20/4.00, respectively. In other cases, where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC and UPS categories, whereas for SC/ST/PC categories the requirement is 50% marks. (Please note that equivalence between OGPA and % marks will not be acceptable).
AICE – SRF (PGS) 2015 – 16 :
Eligibility Requirements :
Indian nationals having passed Master’s Degree programme securing an Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of at least 6.50/10.00 scale, 3.25/5.00 scale, 2.60/4.00 scale for General, OBC and UPS Categories and 5.50/10.00, 2.75/5.00, 2.20/4.00 scale for SC/ST/Physically Challenged (PC) categories, respectively from any recognized University in India and abroad would be eligible. In other cases, where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC and UPS category. For SC/ST/PC candidates, the minimum percentage of marks will be 50%. The equivalence between OGPA and percent marks, where needed, will not be acceptable. The candidates must complete the postgraduate degree in all respects and produce the degree-completion certificate from the Registrar to this effect on/before 30th June, 2015 or the date of Counseling, whichever is later, failing which they will not be considered for admission and the award of fellowship. The postgraduate candidates, having graduated with BVSc & AH Degree programme, would be required to produce valid certificate of registration under IVC Act, 1984 at the time of counseling. The Fellowship would be granted only when the candidate seeks admission through counseling conducted by ICAR and pursues Ph.D. degree in an AU other than the AU from where he/she has completed Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree. The candidates who have already joined Ph.D. should not have completed two years as on the date of examination. The above eligibility conditions will also apply to in-service candidates. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to check his/her eligibility for AICE-SRF(PGS) examination before applying. ICAR will not be held responsible for refusing ICAR-SRF(PGS)-2015 to any ineligible candidate. The candidates please note that:
Senior Research Fellowship is a financial assistance given by ICAR for pursuing Ph.D. degree in the field of Agriculture and Allied sciences.
Merely qualifying the examination will not guarantee SRF. Only those candidates will be eligible for SRF who come in the merit list and after counseling join the University within stipulated time.
For many subjects/courses, the Universities may have different/additional eligibility conditions than those listed in the following Table. It is the responsibility of the candidate to check his/her eligibility at the time of counseling with the official(s) of the University where admission is desired.
The in-service candidates qualifying for admission will arrange for study leave/leave of the kind due from their respective organizations themselves and ICAR will not intervene in this regard.
The in-service candidates must be working in ICAR Institutes, DUs, SAUs, CAUs, CUs having faculty of agriculture, Central Government/State Government Departments dealing in Agriculture and Allied Sectors and Public Sector Undertakings dealing with Agriculture and Allied Sectors (Annexure IV). In-service candidates seeking admission to ICAR-DUs should see respective University’s website for the details.
Ensuring Eligibility Requirements are Satisfied :
Candidate should fill-up the Application Form with due care and must ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility requirements for the examination as well as admission as detailed therein. No certificates are required to be attached along with the Application at the time of submission of Application and the eligibility of the candidate for the examination and admission later on is not checked until the date of counseling/personal appearance (offline counseling) of the candidate when the related documents will be checked and verified. In case of admission through wait list, the documents will be checked and verified by the university concerned at the time of admission. In case of online counseling, the documents will be checked and verified by the university concerned at the time of admission. In case the candidate is found non-eligible at that or later stage, his/her candidature would be summarily rejected.
