Subject: Counselling for admission through Admission Test-2015
Dear Candidate,
Congratulations for your performance in the Admission Test-2015.

Admission to the M.Tech./Ph.D. courses in the University shall be granted based on the On Campus counselling for which you have to appear as per schedule given above on the days as applicable. You are required to bring all the testimonials/certificates/documents in original & one set of photocopies along with a demand draft of Rs. 10,000/- (drawn in favour of Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur). Candidates are required to come prepared to stay till late evening as the counselling may get extended. For completing the admission based on your choice through counselling, you are essentially required to complete the following steps:
Step 1 Counselling Registration : Please logon to the University website mmmut.ac.in through “Admission” tab followed by “Registration” tab for registration to participate in the on-spot counselling as per schedule given in Annexure-II. Also submit your choice for M.Tech/Ph.D. Courses as applicable. Please submit the all possible choices in order of preference, as you will not be allowed to change the choices at subsequent stages of the counselling. Please doubly ensure the order of preference submitted by you as change is not possible after final submission. The allotment of the seat will be strictly on the basis of your merit and the sequence in which choices have been filled by you. After choice submission (if applicable) deposit the non-refundable counselling fee of Rs 500/-. The counselling registration will be deemed to be completed only after deposition of counselling fee of Rs 500/-.
Step 2 Reporting : You are required to report in person between 9.00 AM to 12.00 PM at the University as per counselling schedule given in Annexure-II. You must come with your registration slip, admit card and other documents as detailed in Annexure-I.
Step 3 Document Verification : You are required to report in person between 9.00 AM to 12.00 PM at the University as per counselling schedule given in Annexure-II. You must come with your registration slip, admit card and other documents as detailed in Annexure-I.
Step 4 Seat Allotment : : After all document verification for reported candidates for the day is over then the seat allotment shall be made on the basis of choices submitted by you in Step-1 as per your merit rank on the same day. Since the number of candidates called is quite more than the available seats, hence there is a chance that a candidate is not allotted the seat. University will not be responsible for the inconvenience caused due to this uncertainty.
Step 5 Confirmation of admission and deposition of remaining fee : The admission offer needs to be confirmed by the candidate through deposition of the remaining amount of the University fee within seven days from the day on which admission offer is made, failing which the seat allotment will be cancelled automatically and Rs. 10,000/- shall be forfeited. Also, such seats falling vacant due to non-confirmation will be allotted to the next claimant candidate in order of merit in subsequent round of counselling. You are advised to regularly visit the University website http://www.mmmut.ac.in for further notification.
INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES REGARDING ADMISSION TEST-2015 COUNSELING :
Please submit the copy of Registration Slip as the proof of registering and paying non-refundable counseling fee of Rs. 500/-. The following documents will be required alongwith an attested photocopy at the time of Document Verification which will have to be submitted at the verification counter of the University:
1. Qualifying Examination Certificates and Mark sheets (The eligibility criteria and list of qualifying examinations is given in Admission Test-2015 information brochure).
2. Candidates in respect of whom, the result of the qualifying examination has not been declared by the date of counselling due to any reason whatsoever shall not be eligible for admission.
3. Certificate of High school or equivalent examination for verification of date of birth.
4. Domicile certificate of Parents (Father or Mother only) of the candidate, issued by the competent authority, for candidates who have passed qualifying examination from states other than U.P.
5. Category certificate for OBC candidates issued by the competent authority of U.P. State Govt., if applicable, on prescribed format of U.P. Government as given in the Information Brochure and should be issued after March 31, 2015 (mandatory due to condition of creamy layer of the society).
6. Category certificate for SC/ST candidates issued by competent authority, if applicable, on prescribed format of U.P. Govt. as given in Information Brochure.
7. An undertaking for medical fitness by the candidates & countersigned by his/her father / guardian to this effect that he will submit, a certificate of fitness as prescribed in Information Brochure at the time of joining the University, in case of the certificate is not submitted at the time of document verification.
8. For Document Verification a separate demand draft of Rs. 10,000=00 as part of University fee (refundable in case of a candidate who withdraws his candidature before opting the seat or non allotment of seat of the choice) is to be deposited at the time of reporting, drawn in favour of Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur.
9. No refund of part of tuition fee (Rs. 10,000/-) deposited will be admissible, in case of the candidate who do not confirm admission on the offered seat for any reason whatsoever, and no claim will be entertained for its refund.
10. In case of offer of admission and confirmation of the seat by the candidate, the candidate is not eligible for any kind of refund of the fees paid to the University. No such claims shall be entertained
Important Note:
Candidates should note that they have to report in person at the University as per schedule. Candidates should leave only after getting his/her documents verified and collecting admission offer letter
Result of seat allotment will be displayed after completion of document verification process on same day and admission offer letter will be issued on same day. Candidates are advised that they should not leave till the result of seat allotment is not declared and please ensure to collect admission letter in case of seat allotment and withdrawal/continuance of process for subsequent allotment in case of non-allotment.
Candidates are required to bring the following documents/certificates in original and a set consisting of attested photocopies of the certificates for verification and submission at the time of reporting/document verification.
(i) Registration Slip
(ii) Admit Card
(iii) GATE Score Card in original (only for M.Tech. Admission)
(iv) Counselling letter
(v) Mark sheet of qualifying exam.
(vi) High School Certificate
(vii) Character Certificate
(viii) Certificate of Medical Fitness/Undertaking of Medical Fitness
(ix) Following certificates issued by designated authorities as per the format prescribed in in the Information Brochure of Admission Test-2015
(a) Domicile certificate, if applicable
(b) Category certificate such as OBC/SC/ST, if applicable
** Candidates are also required to bring demand draft of Rs 10000/- as part of the University fee for deposition along with the printed receipt generated at the time of registration for the counselling. Please bring the demand draft of Rs. 10,000/- (in favour of Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur-273010 (U.P.) ) as part of University fee. The candidates will not be allowed to participate in seat allotment without deposition of the demand draft of Rs 10000/- after successful verification.
** The candidate shall have to deposit the remaining amount of the University fee within seven days of the day on which admission offer letter will be issued, failing which the seat allotment will be cancelled.
** The seats falling vacant due to non-deposition of University fee, as applicable in stipulated period shall be filled in subsequent round of seat up-gradation/allotment on the basis of prefilled choices of candidates. If required, the University may notify the next round of counselling as per the procedure laid down by the University in the notification for such counselling.
** The candidates can download their individual counselling letters from the University website.
