Advertisement for Entrance Examination for Admission to M.Tech. / M.Pharm :
** Applications in the prescribed format are invited from eligible Indian citizens FOR ADMISSION TO POST GRADUATE COURSES IN ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY AND PHARMACY IN MAKAUT, WB INHOUSE AND COLLEGES AFFILIATED TO MAKAUT, WB (PGET-2015).
** Admission will be through an entrance test (PGET) for all candidates including the GATE/GPAT qualified candidates.
** Due weightage will be given to valid GATE/GPAT score and previous academic performance for preparing the merit list.
** The admission will be through counseling, the schedule and venue for which will be advertised on the website along with the merit list.

How to Apply:
Candidates shall apply in the prescribed form which will be uploaded on the University website on June 12, 2015.

The applications, duly filled-up on the website and submitted on-line, are to be down-loaded and printed.

Hard copies of the completed forms are to be signed by the applicant and submitted along with the relevant testimonials and a demand draft of Rs.600.00 (for General candidates) and Rs. 300.00 (for the reserved category) drawn in favour of ‘MAKAUTWB-PGET’ from any nationalised bank payable at Kolkata.

The hard copies of the forms will be accompanied by self attested photo-copies of mark-sheets and other relevant testimonials listed below.

* Forms found incomplete in any respect will be rejected.

** Last date for online submission of application is July 6, 2015 after which the on-line portal will be closed.
** No application will be accepted unless it is registered on-line by July 6, 2015.
** Candidates qualified in the merit list will have to pay a Counseling fee of Rs. 500.00 by D.D. drawn in favour of ‘MAKAUTWB-PGET’ from any nationalised bank payable at Kolkata at the time of Counseling.
** All hard copies of the application form along with the documents listed below must reach MAKAUT, WB either by speed-post or having dropped in the drop-box placed at the University (MAKAUT, WB, campus) till 5.00pm of July 9, 2015.

Procedure for Application:
1. Duly filled-up and signed on-line Application form to be downloaded from the website.

2. Demand draft of Rs. 600.00 (for General candidates) and Rs. 300.00 (for reserved category) drawn in favour of ‘MAKAUTWB-PGET’ from any nationalised bank payable at Kolkata. I) The application number and II) Applicant’s name to be written on the reverse side of the draft.

3. Self attested photo-copy of GATE/GPAT score card if any. (Scanned copy to be uploaded with form)

4. Self attested photo-copies of mark-sheets/certificates etc of qualifying examination. Table for conversion of credits to percentage of marks to be given for candidates not belonging to MAKAUT,WB. Final year students must submit the marksheets of last/latest semester examinations. (Scanned copies to be uploaded with form)

5. Self-attested photo-copies of certificates/documents from appropriate authorities in proof of reservation eligibility of the candidate in the categories approved by the State of West Bengal as per the reservation norms. (Scanned copies to be uploaded with form)

6. Candidates applying under ‘sponsored’ category should explicitly mention the same in the application form, and substantiate by relevant document at the time of application.

** The PGET Board as constituted by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal, is the sole authority to conduct the examination and declare the results.

** As decided by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal, admission to Post Graduate courses in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy in such institutions will be as per merit list prepared through PGET followed by counseling.

Eligibility for PGET-2015: An Indian citizen with a relevant AICTE approve Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy/Architecture or in the final year of such programmes or equivalent.

** Equivalence means the candidate should be an Associate Member of a Professional of Engineers that are recognized by the Govt. of India for the purpose of admission to higher studies in Engineering. M.Sc. or final year M.Sc. Candidates in appropriate branches are also eligible. However, degrees acquired through any distance education programme are not eligible.

** Details of course wise eligibility is given in the following table.

* Candidates in final year will be granted provisional admission and will have to submit their final mark-sheet before a prescribed deadline (August 30, 2015) as may be fixed by the PGET Board.
* Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PC will be as per the state government rules.
