M.Ed. Entrance Test 2015 :
Applications are invited for the M.Ed Entrance Test to the Department of Education under University of Kerala for the Academic Year 2015-2017.
Application Form and other details are available in the following Website of the University of Kerala.

This form ‘A’ along with the Hall Ticket portion, Registration cum Application Fee and Self Addressed Stamped cover for Rs.5/- should be submitted to the Deputy Registrar, Office of the Credt and Semester System, University of Kerala,Kaariavattom.P.O., TVPM-695581 before 5 p.m on 15th June, 2015

INSTRUCTIONS :
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the Entrance Test 2015, for admission to two year M.Ed. Degree programme (2015-2017) in the Department of Education, Thycaud, under the University of Kerala. Appearance at the Entrance Test is a MUST for all those who are desirous of seeking admission to the M.Ed. course in the University Teaching Department. Admission to the PG Programme will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and the Entrance Test, in the ratio 50:50. There will be no re-valuation of Entrance Examination answer scripts.

Eligibility :
B.Ed. degree with 55% marks in aggregate. Relaxation of marks upto 5% will be given to SC/ST candidates.

Registration Fees:
A registration fee of Rs.520/- (Rs.270/- for SC/ST candidates) has been prescribed. The Registration Fee in the form of DD/University Chelan should be attached with Form-A.

Mode of Remittance:
Remittance at the University of Kerala Cash Counter / Demand Draft drawn from SBT/SBI/District Cooperative Bank in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Kerala, payable at Trivandrum. In the case of DD, Registration Fee is Rs.530/-

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM
** There will be two parts in the application form. ‘Form A’ – Application for Entrance Test for M.Ed.

** Admission in the department of Education in University of Kerala. Form – B – Application for admission to Department of Education for admission to M.Ed. Degree programme.

FORM-A :
Filled in Application Form –A along with the Demand Draft /Chalan, the Hall ticket portion and a self addressed stamped cover for Rs.5/- alone should be sent addressed to THE DEPUTY REGISTRAR, CREDIT AND SEMESTER SYSTEM, UNIVERSITY OF KERALA, KARIAVATTOM.P.O, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM-695581 so as to reach before 5 p.m on 15th June 2015.

The cover containing application form should be superscribed “Application for Entrance Test to M.Ed. Degree programme 2015 (CSS)”. Application received after the last date will be rejected without any intimation. Request for refund of registration fee will not be entertained. Please note that if the application is found to be incorrect or incomplete in any respect an amount of Rs.50/- will be charged as handling charges.

FORM-B :
Should be filled and sent addressed to the PROFESSOR & HEAD, DEPARTMENT OF
EDUCATION, UNIVERSITY OF KERALA, THYCAUD, THYCAUD.P.O
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, KERALA.

APPLICATION FORM-B should be accompanied with copy of the Hall Ticket ,copy of Marklist and Community certificate and other relevant certificates.

LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM –‘B’ to the Department of Education is 26th JUNE 2015

PATTERN AND MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION :
** Test is of two hours duration and has two parts.
** The first part is objective type consisting of 50 multiple choice questions to be answered in 1 hour and the second part consists of 15 short answer questions, out of which, 10 are to be answered in the remaining 1 hour.
** The question will be at the level of the qualifying Bachelor’s Degree Course.
** Medium of the examination is English.

CENTRE OF EXAMINATION:
Test will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram only. DATE, VENUE & TIME OF EXAMINATION will be intimated later along with the Hall Ticket.

PREPARATION OF RANK LIST :
** The rank list for M.Ed. Course will be prepared by giving weightage for marks secured in the Entrance Examination and the marks secured in the Qualifying examination in the ratio 50:50..
** Bonus marks for NCC/NSS etc. will be as per existing norms.

RESULTS OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION :
** The marks scored in the Entrance Examination will be published in the University Web site
** ADMISSION MEMO (SELECTION MEMO) Will be sent to selected candidates from the concerned departments after preparing the rank list.

FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS ARE TO BE PRODUCED ONLY AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION.
1) Admit Card (Hall Ticket) of Entrance Examination
2) SSLC and relevant School Records to prove date of birth
3) Original marklists and certificates of qualifying examination.
4) Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate from the Institution last attended.
5) Eligibility Certificate from University of Kerala in respect of students who passed their qualifying examination from Universities/Boards/Outside University of Kerala.
6) Any other documents suggested by the department.

Fee Structure:
Shall be intimated along with the selection memo sent from the concerned department.
